What's At Stake?
Tennessee still has a chance to make the playoffs and win the AFC South.
With Houston Texans starting QB Matt Schaub going down with injury, the team’s two-game lead in the division looks vulnerable.
A win on Sunday would help them keep their postseason hopes alive.
Tampa Bay’s season is on life support with a record of 4-6. The wild-card spots in the NFC right now are occupied by 7-3 teams with two 6-4 teams breathing down their necks.
It would take a miracle for them to make a postseason push but a win in this game would certainly help.
Buccaneers Injury Report (via Rotoworld.com)
T Jeremy Trueblood, UNKNOWN (Ankle): The Bucs starting RT left Sunday’s game against the Packers with an awkward-looking ankle twist. James Lee replaced him.
Titans Injury Report (via Rotorworld.com)
QB Matt Hasselbeck, QST (Elbow): Hasselbeck is dealing with elbow and arm injuries and is currently day-to-day. He will be practicing this week and a decision should be made on Friday.
Fantasy Start 'Em, Sit' Em and Sleeper
Start ‘Em: Nate Washington
It didn’t matter who was throwing this guy the rock last week as he went insane on the gridiron.
Washington had nine catches for 115 yards and two touchdowns against Atlanta.
After a performance like that, he is a must-start against a Bucs defense that gives up 265.4 yards per game and has allowed 18 touchdowns via passes.
Sit ‘Em: Javon Ringer
Ringer was supposed to split carries with a slumping Chris Johnson this season but that has not come to fruition.
Even when Johnson had a disgusting 12-carry, 13-yard performance last week, Ringer did not get any rushing plays.
He only had three catches for 35 yards and is not a viable fantasy option.
Sleeper: Jake Locker
If Hasselbeck cannot go, this is a very friendly defense for Locker to continue his development against.
He threw for two touchdowns and went 9-for-19 passing against a tough Falcons D last week.
Look for him to have another solid outing if he gets the starting nod.
What They're Saying
John Romano of the St. Petersburg Times found out that coach Raheem Morris still believes his team can win out and go 10-6 on the year and win a championship.
He said,
""We're young. We play fast, we play hard, we play smart, we play consistent. We certainly could go out there and win a championship. We certainly feel that way. But this is a very talented football league. Very talented teams.”
"
Jim Wyatt over at The Tennessean says that coach Mike Munchak wasn’t pleased with his offensive line as well as his RB, Chris Johnson in their last game.
"“I could sit here and say, ‘Man, I wish we would’ve had 30 carries.’ Well, we didn’t earn the right for 30 carries. You have to get more than 1 or 2 yards to get a chance to do it more often,” Munchak said. “I don’t think as a group, for the limited time we had to run it, we didn’t block well. It was very average and inconsistent.”

Buccaneers Player To Watch: LeGarrette Blount
Blount was originally signed by the Titans after he went undrafted out of Oregon in 2010.
The team let him go during final roster cuts but wanted to sign him to their practice squad.
The Bucs snatched him up and it has worked out pretty well for them. Let’s see if he plays with a chip on his shoulder this week.
Titans Player To Watch: Jake Locker
If Locker plays, and he just might, we will see how the Titans’ QB of the future does making his first full start.
Even if he doesn’t go, Hasselbeck is nursing injuries and is at a high risk to be knocked out of the game.
I’m predicting at some point we see this kid in the game on Sunday.
Key Matchup: Titans ground game vs. Buccaneers rush defense.
If the Titans continue to stink running the football, they aren’t going to be able to win football games.
A one-dimensional offensive attack that relies on Hasselbeck or Locker throwing to Washington isn’t going to produce a ton of scores if the defense knows it’s coming.
They need to get CJ2K going somehow and they should use this game to figure out how.
Prediction: Titans 27, Buccaneers 23
