WWE Survivor Series 2011 Predictions: John Morrison Will Win WWE Gold

At the beginning of the year, John Morrison was going to be the next big star in WWE. He was having solid matches showcasing his unique Parkour style and the crowd was popping big for him. Injuries and poor booking derailed his push, but things will get back on track at Survivor Series against Dolph Ziggler. 

The United States championship, which is currently held by Ziggler, does not hold the cache that it once did, so Morrison will not be magically elevated when he does win it, but the fact that Morrison is going over on pay-per-view is a step in the right direction. 

Morrison's problems with the creative team actually have nothing to do with his ability in the ring or a bad attitude backstage. Vince McMahon and Co. just don't like the fact that he is still dating former Diva Melina. 

Morrison's relationship with her has caused the creative team to bury him on more than one occasion this year. If that sounds ridiculous, welcome to WWE in 2011. 

But things are starting to get better for Morrison. He is starting to win on television more and seems to be a part of WWE in the future. There was some talk that he might jump to TNA when his contract expires, but I can't imagine McMahon giving him victories if he was leaving.

So Morrison gets a shot at Ziggler, who himself has really stepped up his performance in recent months. This match could steal the show if it is given any time at to develop. 

When all is said and done, though, Morrison has to go over. Ziggler does not need a secondary title right now, and Morrison needs a rub sooner or later. 

And what better time to put Morrison over than on the second-biggest pay-per-view of the year. The more people that are watching the show, the easier it is to turn someone into a star. I am not saying he will become a star right away, but given time and the proper push he can become someone.
