WWE: CM Punk's 5 Best Arguments with Fans Caught on Video

As Kevin Nash and Alberto Del Rio have discovered first hand, CM Punk wields a mighty sharp tongue. 

Whether relishing the role of a heel or redefining the anti-hero, Punk has always displayed quick wit and delivered verbal barbs.  This has not been limited to the guys inside the ring.

Even fans have gotten a lash or two from the best in the world. 

Irreverence and vulgarity ensue as Punk takes on audience members and the cameras roll.

5. Cow Palace Challenge

In California's Cow Palace, an angry fan wants a piece of CM Punk. 

Without saying much of anything, Punk manages to get not only that fan riled up, but others who begin to throw trash into the ring.

Punk welcomes it.  He holds the ring ropes open, quite willing to roundhouse kick the fellow if need be. 

Punk is so adept at playing the heel that full-grown men have trouble distinguishing kayfabe from reality.

4. Cena and TNA

At a house show in France, a fan provokes CM Punk after a match with such witty one-liners as "Boo!" and "Punk!"

Punk calls him out, deducing that he’s a John Cena and TNA fan.  The quiet, controlled way that he speaks to the fan demonstrates how in control he is the whole time.

The fan, who sounds a lot like Andre the Giant, loves every minute of it. 

Now he'll tell his buds, "CM Punk made me look stupid!"

3. Indy One-Liner

A verbal battle with Punk can end in a single blow. 

Before a match with Daniel Bryan, a young fan tries to take on the best in the world, but his would-be argument is snuffed out quickly. 

The kid taunts Punk only to get a crowd-inciting comeback for the ages.  He smiles in spite of everything, happy to be a part of the show.  When he finally musters up a comeback, the moment is long over.

2. V-Word

Though the anti-gay portion of Punk's clash with a fan in Australia stoops to a level of classlessness, this has to be included. 

His line including female genitalia has become an Internet sensation. 

While the fan can only grunt and yelp like a monkey, Punk throws out a litany of scathing insults. 

The security guard can't keep a straight face and Punk is clearly having fun.  His throttling of the fan leads to a roaring "CM Punk" chant.

1. Invisible Microphone

Rather than let the fact that the microphones aren't working detract from this indy show, CM Punk turns it into Internet gold.

Holding a nonexistent microphone, Punk attempts to begin a promo.  A rather ornery audience member is all riled up and wants to say her piece—into the mic that isn’t there.

With all the swearing being tossed around, almost none of this would be allowed on WWE TV, but watching Punk's early work, it's clear that he was destined for verbal greatness.  Thinking on one's feet is essential in promo spewing, and he's one of the best.
