WWE Survivor Series: Morrison Gets United States Title Match over Zack Ryder
Are you serious bro?
Despite speculation that Dolph Ziggler would defend his United States Championship against Long Island Ice Z Zack Ryder at Survivor Series, instead, according to WWE.com, it will be John Morrison getting that championship match.
Ryder is clearly more over than Morrison and now since he is also not part of Team Orton for some reason, it looks as though Ryder will not be even getting a match in Madison Square Garden, his hometown, at one of the biggest pay-per-views of the year. WWE has been building up Ryder to get another shot at the US Title by having him getting a petition signed for a championship match that was even signed by Mick Foley on RAW this week.

Morrison has been jobbing for months, but he managed to pick up a surprise victory over Ziggler on RAW a few weeks ago and then interfered in Ziggler's match against Mason Ryan last week.
For the second PPV in a row, Ziggler will once again be double booked, as he will not only defend his United States Championship, but he was also announced as Christian's replacement on Team Barrett for the 5-on-5 Survivor Series match.
Personally, I don't get this from any perspective. For starters, if Morrison is going to get the championship match, then Zack Ryder should be on Team Orton, and the match should have been announced long ago. Ryder, however, should be getting the match. He is easily one of the top five most popular superstars on the roster right now and giving him a championship match in his hometown would be gold. I like Morrison, really, but he has been jobbing for so long, then he gets one win and now he has a chance to be the second-biggest champion on the RAW brand?
Also, I hate the double booking of Ziggler. Give another heel superstar a chance in the 5-on-5 match. We still haven't seen Brodus Clay on television and he would be a perfect fit if he joined Team Barrett and made his re-debut at Survivor Series and eliminated a few members of Team Orton. Ziggler getting thrown in does show that the WWE believes in him, but it does show their lack of depth for effective heels.
We'll see if the WWE involves Ryder in some way and surprises us at Survivor Series, so I will withhold my judgment until after the event, but if this holds true, then this is a terrible move by the WWE.
