NFL Week 11 Picks: Predicting Scores for Every Game on the Schedule

Ryan PhillipsNov 17, 2011

Through 10 weeks of the NFL season, we should have a better feel for every team in the league. However, other than the Green Bay Packers and Indianapolis Colts, it's almost impossible to tell what each team will do from week to week.

Despite that, I am going to pick all of Week 11's games. What's more, I guarantee you that I'll be right on most of them...I think.

New York Jets (5-4) at Denver Broncos (4-5)

The Jets travel into the heart of Tebowmania for a Thursday night showdown with the Broncos. I'm sorry, but I just can't believe the "Tebow Veer" will work against a sophisticated defense like that of Rex Ryan's.

It's nice that John Fox and his coaches are trying to work with their young quarterback to give him a chance to succeed, but it is essentially a high-school offense.

The Jets will win this one, but it will be closer than they want it to be.

New York (Jets) 24, Denver 20

Jacksonville Jaguars (3-6) at Cleveland Browns (3-6)

In this battle of two teams struggling mightily on offense, I give the edge to the team with Maurice Jones-Drew.

Jacksonville 13, Cleveland 10

Carolina Panthers (2-7) at Detroit Lions (6-3)

In the span of one month, the Lions have gone from darlings of the NFL to Public Enemy No. 1 thanks to some "questionable" on-field tactics.

Against the Panthers, the NFL's new bad boys will get the job done after going 1-3 over their past four games.

Detroit 34, Carolina 21

Tampa Bay Buccaneers (4-5) at Green Bay Packers (9-0)

The Packers are rolling, the Buccaneers aren't. It's as simple as that. Aaron Rodgers will stay on his historic hot streak and Green Bay will cruise to 10-0.

Green Bay 45, Tampa Bay 17

Buffalo Bills (5-4) at Miami Dolphins (2-7)

All of a sudden, the Dolphins have turned things around. Miami have won two consecutive contests while the Bills have dropped three out of four.

I don't really believe in Miami. However, for some reason, I think they'll sneak away with a home win on Sunday.

Miami 27, Buffalo 24

Oakland Raiders (5-4) at Minnesota Vikings (2-7)

The Vikings don't have a shot at winning this game, but they do have a chance to make it very uncomfortable for Carson Palmer and his team. They'll do just that, but the Raiders will ride Michael Bush to a win.

Oakland 24, Minnesota 20

Dallas Cowboys (5-4) at Washington Redskins (3-6)

Rookie running back DeMarco Murray has given the Cowboys life. On Sunday, they'll crush the rival Redskins who have dropped five games in a row.

Dallas 37, Washington 14

Cincinnati Bengals (6-3) at Baltimore Ravens (6-3)

Bengals rookie quarterback Andy Dalton faced a tough, experienced defense last week and he struggled mightily.

This weekend, he'll face the same type of opposition. Making matters worse, top wideout A.J. Green is listed as a game-time decision. I don't expect him to do any better.

Baltimore 24, Cincinnati 10

San Diego Chargers (4-5) at Chicago Bears (6-3)

Chargers head coach Norv Turner has to be on his way out the door. The Bolts have dropped four consecutive games after a 4-1 start, while the Bears have won four in a row after a 2-3 start. Both trends will continue on Sunday in Chicago.

Chicago 27, San Diego 21

Seattle Seahawks (3-6) at St. Louis Rams (2-7)

Don't waste too much time thinking about this one—neither team is any good. Even so, the Seahawks somehow continue to pull off random upsets, including their 22-17 win over the Ravens in Week 10.

Still, they are as inconsistent as any team in the NFL and Sam Bradford may finally be fully healthy for the Rams.

St. Louis 17, Seattle 12

Arizona Cardinals (3-6) at San Francisco 49ers (8-1)

The Cardinals are an absolute mess. Meanwhile, the 49ers aren't very impressive on offense, but their defense has been outstanding. This will end up being closer than it should be, but San Francisco will come away with the win.

San Francisco 21, Arizona 14

Tennessee Titans (5-4) at Atlanta Falcons (5-4)

The Falcons gave the Saints a gift of an overtime win in Week 10 after they had won three games in a row and looked to be back on track. I'm going to give them a pass on that one and bank on them beating the Titans at home on Sunday.

Atlanta 31, Tennessee 21

Philadelphia Eagles (3-6) at New York Giants (6-3)

The Eagles are in the midst of a major free fall and could be without Michael Vick (two fractured ribs) during their big Sunday night matchup with the Giants. That's bad news. Vince Young is maybe half the quarterback that Vick is and the Giants have been playing very well lately.

New York (Giants) 24, Philadelphia 17

Kansas City Chiefs (4-5) at New England Patriots (6-3)

The Chiefs have suffered a ton of major injuries this season, but now they are without starting quarterback Matt Cassel for an extended period of time thanks to surgery on his throwing hand. The Patriots will be at home in front of a raucous Monday night crowd and should roll.

New England 42, Kansas City 13
