WWE Survivor Series 2011: Big Show vs. Mark Henry Will Be Epic Failure
Last month at Vengeance, the one match that fans had put low on the totem pole was the World Heavyweight Championship tilt between Mark Henry and Big Show. They had a surprisingly good match with a great finish that left things open for a rematch at Survivor Series.
The only problem with doing a rematch is that they can’t do the same finish that they did at Vengeance, so this match is not going to be able to match that one in terms of spectacle and awesomeness.
As much fun as Henry has been to watch since undergoing this career renaissance, he still needs help to have a good match. The idea of Henry and Big Show being able to catch lightning in a bottle twice is out there.

Don’t get me wrong: Seeing two giants in the ring, even if they aren’t good workers, is always fun to watch. It can make your head hurt when they start trying to develop psychology and get heat, but everything else is entertaining.
Still, Henry and Show had the benefit last month of being able to build up to that one epic spot at the end of the match—even though it was something that had already been done eight years ago—and they can’t do that again.
The only possible thing they could do that would give this match the same feeling as their previous match is if either Henry or Show gets slammed through the stage on the entrance ramp.
But if they do that, then we have to have another match in December between Big Show and Henry, because we still do not have a clean winner.
Their match at Survivor Series has to end with a pinfall victory for Henry or Big Show—truthfully, it has to be Henry because his character is still hot, and now is not the time to change a title. That will put an end to the feud, but it will not make for a good match.
At least Survivor Series’ success is not dependent on Henry and Big Show having a good match, because that will not happen.
