WWE Raw: Jim Ross vs. Michael Cole; What Is the Michael Cole Challenge?

Yes, it is official! This Monday night will feature return of The Rock live on Raw in a three-hour special. Not only that, but Brodus Clay is set to make his big return to WWE TV as well.

However, what in the world is going on with Jim Ross and Michael Cole? This week, we will finally get the "Michael Cole Challenge" live on WWE Raw. I know everybody is very excited for that...

Michael Cole has said that if he loses, he will quit commentating on Monday nights. If JR wins, he gets his job back alongside Jerry "The King" Lawler.

I know what outcome I want, but the question still remains. What is this big clash even going to be? Well, it is anybody's guess, but here are a few of mine:

1. It could always end up being a simple match. Cole vs. Ross in a one-on-one bout? Yes, it is nothing special, but it may be the least painful. As long as JR is healthy come Tuesday morning, I would be fine with some sort of "gimmick" match.

2. A physical challenge would be interesting. Why not a push-up contest? Jack Swagger does well at them in his entrance, so I am sure he taught Cole a thing or two. Of course, many wouldn't expect much from JR, so the punch lines are already there for Cole.

3. A debate! Yes, why not a war of words? Maybe they could each "call" a match or something quick? Maybe each could try to convince the audience as to why they should be the voice of the company? It would make sense, as both are commentators, not wrestlers.

4. Here is my choice! They could captain two wrestlers to face each other, similar to Vince McMahon and Donald Trump in 2007. Each man picks a wrestler to compete, with the winner representing each stipulation. Cole could pick Jack Swagger, while Ross could pick Zack Ryder or somebody else. It would be something fun, and they could even stretch the battle out to teams at Survivor Series if they really wanted to.
