Week 10 Start 'Em, Sit 'Em: 7 Players Who Can Get Big Points This Weekend
There is one player in each game this week who could come up big on fantasy points. It could be a player who has been performing consistently all season or someone doing quite the opposite.
It can be difficult to decide who exactly to start for your team each week, but putting faith in a player could reap massive rewards.
Here are a list of players who could get big points this weekend.
Chris Johnson vs Carolina Panthers
1 of 7There is no denying it, Chris Johnson has been atrocious so far this season. But it is hard to think that a player of his caliber will not turn it around at some point. The game against the Carolina Panthers could be that point.
The Panthers defense is currently 25th in the NFL when it comes to rushing defense, having allowed 1,066 yards and league-leading 11 touchdowns. Johnson could benefit greatly from that.
So far Johnson only has 366 yards and one touchdown, but he seemed to have found his feet a little against the Cleveland Browns last week.
A slight hesitancy against starting him is natural, but the potential benefit would be greatly rewarding.
Arian Foster vs Tampa Bay Buccaneers
2 of 7Another one for the bad rushing defense against good rusher category. This one may be easier than the Chris Johnson deal—okay it's a lot easier—but it is still useful.
For those who somehow have both Arian Foster and Johnson on their teams, it becomes a bit of toss-up. Johnson is unstoppable when on his game, but it is uncertain when that will come. Foster—on the other hand—has had better year and is facing a defense that will most certainly make it easy for him.
Either way the points will come, though it is easy to believe that Foster is more likely to bring in the points.
Tim Tebow vs Kansas City Chiefs
3 of 7Tim Tebow is a double threat for any game and against any team, so it's always nice to have him your team. Tebow has been pretty decent as a starter so far with six touchdowns and only one interception.
Kansas City has given up more yards in the air than on the ground and that might work into Denver—and Tebow's—favor.
DeMarco Murray vs Buffalo Bills
4 of 7It was either DeMarco Murray or teammate Tony Romo, and Murray wins out.
The Bills defense isn't particularly good on either front, but it is second in the league with 15 interceptions. That statistic does not bode well for Romo.
Murray may not have the touchdowns that some of the other running backs do, but he has been solid in that position so far.
Michael Turner vs New Orleans Saints
5 of 7The Saints defense is 26th in the league in rushing defense having given up 1,077 yards.
Michael Turner has 692 yards and seven touchdowns so far this season. He should have a very productive day against this defense.
Alex Smith vs New York Giants
6 of 7The New York Giants are in the middle of the table when it comes to passing defense and actually a little worse on the rushing side.
Alex Smith could benefit from Frank Gore's ability to keep the chains moving. The two could work in tandem to put up great numbers on the scoreboard both in real life and in the fantasy world.
Smith has 10 touchdowns and only two interceptions so far, and that smart play could continue on Sunday.
Matt Forte vs Detroit Lions
7 of 7While both quarterbacks will be able to put up big numbers, it is Matt Forte's participation that could be a key factor in this game.
Forte had a good time against the Lions the last time these teams met, and if Jay Cutler is unable to get the better of the Lions in the passing game, Forte will have to step it up.
Since his recent run of four games out of five with 100 or more yards, it is likely Forte will come good.
