Weel 10 Start 'Em Sit 'Em: Larry Fitzgerald and Other Receivers You Must Sit
Week 10 begins the home stretch of the NFL season. It's when teams step up and push for the playoffs against their division rivals.
It's also when players step up and separate themselves from the rest of the pack. Of course, not every world class player will put on a world class performance every week. So, for all of you fantasy football participants and fans out there, here is your Start 'Em, Sit 'Em for the NFL's Week 10.
Since there are no bye weeks this week, there should be a multitude of wide receiver available to suit your needs, and to temporarily fill in for players you might be hesitant to start.
There are several big name play makers that you should sit, including Arizona Cardinals wide receiver Larry Fitzgerald. Yes, sit Larry Fitzgerald.
Reggie Wayne
1 of 6Indianapolis Colts wide receiver Reggie Wayne is someone you must sit this week. His performance has been absolutely subpar the entire season.
Obviously, this can be attributed to Peyton Manning being out the entire season thus far. Curtis Painter just can't seem to get the ball to Wayne, and we're all tired of waiting.
I personally have kept Wayne on my squad giving him the benefit of the doubt each week. only to continually be disappointed. It's time all people sit or drop Wayne not just for Week 10 but for the remainder of the season.
Larry Fitzgerald
2 of 6This one has disaster written all over it, just sit Fitzgerald and call it a day,
Firstly, the Cardinals are playing the streaky Philadelphia Eagles. Although the Eagles are still struggling to get their all-star studded team to gel, they're still a team to be reckoned with. With Nnamdi Asomugha lining up against Fitzgerald, don't expect him to get many targets, if at all.
Oh yeah, John Skelton is starting for Arizona at quarterback.
Darius Heyward-Bey
3 of 6With the new quarterback shuffling going around in Oakland, it seems as if Darius Heyward-Bey is getting himself worked out of the offense. Coming off of a bye week, Heyward-Bey went out and pulled in zero receptions for zero yards.
Playing at San Diego certainly isn't a cakewalk, either. Heyward-Bey, if he does get targets, will be defended by players such as Eric Weddle and Quentin Jammer, players who are certainly more effective at their position than Heyward-Bey is at his.
Eric Decker
4 of 6Denver Broncos wideout Eric Decker has enjoyed somewhat of a breakout ever since the trade of Brandon Lloyd and the change of quarterbacks to Tim Tebow.
This week, the Broncos face the Kansas City Chiefs. The Broncos will be playing in a very hostile stadium who'll want to assure Tebow and his receivers' failure.
With the combination of Brandon Flowers in the defensive secondary for the Chiefs, it seems as if Decker's magical ride might hit a roadblock this week.
Titus Young
5 of 6It seems as every other week, the production comes from either Nate Burleson or Titus Young. This week, it seems as if it is Burleson's turn.
If you have both players, which I highly doubt, start Burleson. The Lions play at Chicago in a game with early playoff indications. We'll take the experience over young and explosiveness...for the time being.
Sidney Rice
6 of 6Seattle Seahawks wide receiver Sidney Rice has certainly had a bipolar season thus far. Although Rice is a big play threat, the Seahawks are playing the Baltimore Ravens.
Rice has yet to practice this week. Playing against a defense like the Ravens, when not even at 100 percent health, a fantasy disaster is waiting to happen.
Since every NFL team plays this week, you should have no trouble finding a one-week remedy for Rice in hopes that his production increases after this matchup.
