Week 10 Fantasy Rankings: LeSean McCoy and More RBs Ready To Erupt
As fantasy football playoffs creep closer, it is paramount that you get every ounce of production from your players. These three running backs have perfect matchups in Week 10, and each will explode for massive fantasy numbers.
We haven’t heard Maurice Jones-Drew in the fantasy world as much as years past, but his production level is still noticeable. While Jones-Drew only has two games of over 100 yards, he has only been less than 80 yards once this season.
His consistency is what allows him to be productive in fantasy football.
Indianapolis is known for having a soft run defense, and their No. 31 ranking proves that. Jones-Drew has scored 11 total touchdowns in 10 games played against the Colts, rushing for a total of 929 yards in his career.
Even though the Jaguars have a rookie quarterback, Jones-Drew will have a very productive day against the Colts, as he always does.
It is apparent that the Detroit Lions struggle to stop the run game, giving them the 28th worst rush defense in the NFL. We know that running back Matt Forte is plenty capable of having a great day as a receiving back, but he should get fed more carries against the Lions on Sunday.
Forte has over 800 yards rushing and 436 yards receiving, leading the Bears in two major categories. Even though his touchdowns numbers (three) aren’t overwhelming, Forte will score at least one against the Lions. Detroit is allowing 5.2 yards per rush while allowing nine carries to go 20 yards or more. He could take one to the house.
If the Bears want to defeat the rejuvenated Lions, Forte will have to play big. He is an important piece to their puzzle, which is why he should get paid as soon as the season is over.
LeSean McCoy
The Eagles just dropped a home game against the Chicago Bears on Monday Night Football 30-24. Just when Philadelphia looks to be on the rise, they falter in a game you would think Super Bowl contenders should win.
Who has been their best player in 2011? Without a doubt that has been LeSean McCoy. He only received 16 rushes in the entire game, compared to 30 and 28 in the previous two games.
Not exactly a recipe for successful football.
Andy Reid will get back to basics and that includes giving McCoy an ample amount of touches. Arizona is allowing 118 yards rushing per contest so the Eagles and their No. 1 rushing attack should have a great day.
