NFL Week 9 Picks: 3 Teams Sure to Disappoint After Week 8 Byes
Bye weeks are supposed to give teams extra rest, extra time to heal and an extra edge over their next opponent, correct?
We've seen a mixed bag this season, as teams coming off the bye have been inconsistent.
These three clubs who had byes in Week 8 will disappoint in their return to the field in Week 9.

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
Tampa Bay Buccaneers
The Bucs were given two weeks to return from London to think about their putrid performance against the Chicago Bears.
Must have been a rough stretch for Josh Freeman, who threw four interceptions in that one.
I can't figure him out.
Whenever I think he's ready to take the next step in that "elite" quarterback group we always hear about (see: home game vs. Saints), he turns in a performance like the one against Chicago.
The Saints are coming off a far more humiliating defeat at the hands of then-winless St. Louis and will be looking to get revenge on the Bucs inside the Superdome.
Something about that place just brings out the best in New Orleans.
Drew Brees should rebound from one of his worst performances of the year and hand the Bucs their fourth loss of the season.
Too much for the Bucs to handle, although I think this game should be relatively high-scoring.
Chicago Bears
The Bears deserve some props for protecting Jay Cutler over the last couple games. After last year and the start to this season, there was no way he was making it all 16 games.
Not surprisingly, because he's had time to throw, Chicago's been winning—Devin Hester has helped, too.
However, I don't see them as that explosive of a team right now, and with the Eagles now holding onto the football, they've become one of the toughest teams to stop in football.
Can Chicago keep up with LeSean McCoy and company?
I don't think so—not in Philadelphia on Sunday night.
New York Jets
This game against the Bills has major AFC playoff implications, if that's possible in Week 9.
New York is 0-2 under Rex Ryan coming off the bye, and the Bills have played considerably better at home than on the road.
Although they're still one of the better run defenses in the league, we've seen opposing runners, like Darren McFadden and BenJarvus Green-Ellis, have big days against them. They are allowing nearly 127 yards per contest.
Expect a lot of Fred Jackson on Sunday.
A very passionate team like the Bills will feed off their boisterous crowd, get out to a lead and force Mark Sanchez into some hurried decisions in the second half.
