Rangers vs. Cardinals: David Freese Will Carry the Cardinals to Victory
David Freese became a part of World Series history in Game 6 Thursday night when his solo home run in the 11th inning completed the St. Louis Cardinals' historic comeback against the Texas Rangers to force a Game 7, and he will be the offensive spark that propels the team to its 11th Fall Classic triumph Friday night.
On Thursday night, Freese became just the fifth player ever to hit a walkoff home run in a Game 6 or 7 of a World Series, and the first to do since Joe Carter's memorable walkoff home run that gave the Toronto Blue Jays their second consecutive title in Game 6 of the 1993 World Series.

Why will Freese lead the Cardinals' title march tonight?
He is the hometown kid having the time of his life, and is not allowing the pressure of the moment get to him.
Freese has been on fire the entire postseason, and with just one RBI in Game 7 he would become the all-time leader for most RBI in a single postseason.
Freese is currently tied with Sandy Alomar Jr. (1997) and David Ortiz (2004), with 19 RBI.
The epic stats don't end there regarding Freese. In Game 6 he became the first player ever in World Series history to have a game-tying RBI in the ninth inning and the game-winning RBI in extras.
Freese will lead a powerful Cardinals offense that has been able to keep pace with the very talented Texas Rangers lineup.
Not only has Freese hit well, Cardinals sluggers Albert Pujols and Lance Berkman have been productive, as well as Allen Craig.
With his confidence sky high and a tremendous lineup all around him, Freese will be the hero once again for the Cardinals, and will make a very strong case for World Series MVP.
Freese will have the wild support of the crowd behind him tonight as he etches himself into Cardinals postseason lore in Game 7, joining a familiar group which includes the names of some of baseball's greatest players ever.
