NFL Picks Week 8: Broncos and Teams That Will Disappoint After Week 7 Victories
The Denver Broncos came back from a 15-point deficit in Week 7 behind quarterback Tim Tebow to ultimately win in overtime, 18-15.
However, the come-from-behind victory was dulled by the fact that the Broncos were playing the winless Miami Dolphins, who dropped to 0-6 with the loss.
In Week 8, the Broncos play the Detroit Lions, a team that has been reeling but is still a superior team.

Projecting Every NFL Team's Starting Lineup 🔮

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
The Broncos are one of three teams that will disappoint their loyal fans in Week 8.
3. Jacksonville Jaguars (2-5)
The Jaguars stunned America in Week 7 when they defeated the heavily favored Baltimore Ravens, 12-7.
The Jaguars used an impressive pass rush and a solid secondary to sack Ravens quarterback Joe Flacco three times and limit him to 137 passing yards, one touchdown and one interception.
However, the Jaguars, despite have a good game in Week 7, don't have the offense to win a lot of games. Rookie quarterback Blaine Gabbert is still getting accustomed to the NFL, evidence by going 9-of-20 for 93 yards against the Ravens, and he also doesn't have a wealth of receiving options.
2. Pittsburgh Steelers (5-2)
The Steelers have won three straight games after starting the season 2-2, but two of those victories have come against the Jacksonville Jaguars and Arizona Cardinals.
Despite playing the Jaguars and Cardinals, Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger was sacked a combined five times and the Steelers offensive line has given up 20 sacks this season, the fifth-most in the NFL.
The Steelers face the New England Patriots in Week 8. Although the Patriots don't exactly have the greatest pass rush with 10 sacks on the season, I do expect them to get some pressure on Roethlisberger.
The main reason the Steelers will lose has less to do with the overall quality of their football team and more to do with the fact the Patriots simply outscore most of their opponents. The Patriots are averaging 30.8 points behind quarterback Tom Brady, fourth in the league, and they have the ability to put up points against even the toughest defenses, as they've shown time and time again.
The Steelers are also uncharacteristically giving up 4.5 yards per carry this season and the Patriots are actually averaging a solid 4.6 yards per carry as a team this season.
1. Denver Broncos (2-4)
I'm pulling for Tim Tebow, I really am, but he simply hasn't shown the accuracy to be consistent enough in the NFL at this point.
Yes, he has the unique ability to lead his team back from oblivion, but the only reason the Broncos were able to come back in Week 7 is because they were facing the Dolphins. Against a team like the Lions, for example, they aren't going to have the luxury of falling behind by 15 points and still being within reach.
The Lions have lost their last two games, but they are simply a better team than the Broncos. It appears Matthew Stafford will be ready to go in Week 8 and the Lions pass defense and pass rush is pretty good this season.
I expect the Lions to give Tebow problems and for him to fall back down to Earth.
