NFL Week 8 Picks: Which Teams Are Sure to Dominate?

Chris TrapassoOct 25, 2011

Guaranteeing that a team will dominate its opponent comes with a bit more hesitation this season, as we've seen more upsets than I can ever remember.

Just ask the Baltimore Ravens.

But we have seen some nasty blowouts and are bound to get a few more this week.

These teams should have no trouble thrashing their opponents...

New Orleans Saints

What a nice "vacation" they were given by the schedule-makers.

Well, I guess this past week's massacre of the Indianapolis Colts was supposed to feature Peyton Manning and this week's game with the Rams was supposed to be against an NFC team on the rise.

See, even the guys making the schedules have no idea what's going to happen.

Anyway, the Saints will be able to do whatever they want on offense against a Rams team that has one of the worst defenses in football.

I wouldn't be shocked if they establish the run first and get some valuable touches for their running back committee of Pierre Thomas, Darren Sproles and Mark Ingram or maybe Chris Ivory if Ingram is out with a heel injury.

After that, Drew Brees will put on another surgical performance and New Orleans will move to 6-2 with another blowout victory.

Who said predicting these games was tough?

New York Giants

If the Dolphins couldn't put away Tim Tebow and the Denver Broncos at home last week, how do they beat the Giants in Week 8?

New York is also getting a few of their starters back off the bye and have a good deal of momentum after their 27-24 win over the Bills in Week 6.

Matt Moore has a rib injury and the Dolphins signed J.P. Losman today.

What is going on in Miami?

A laugher in MetLife Stadium.

San Francisco 49ers

The score of this game may not actually indicate the 49ers' dominance.

Both teams have outstanding defenses, but aren't exactly explosive on the offensive end. San Francisco should run the football with great success and get a few big plays from the arm of Alex Smith.

The Browns won't be able to move the ball with much ease and I don't think Colt McCoy is ready to single-handedly lead his team to victory on the road without much receiving help.

I think we're looking at a 20-10 game here.
