Why No NFL Teams Should Even Bother Attending Terrell Owens' Workout
Terrell Owens will have an open workout on Tuesday, and any team that is thinking of sending representatives to watch it should probably reconsider.
Owens is 37, will turn 38 in December and is coming off of ACL surgery. He has never been known as a good teammate. Given his age and injury history there is no reason to believe he can be a solid contributor to an NFL roster.
Owens has incredible career numbers and is sure to wind up in the Hall of Fame someday. He is currently sixth on the all-time receptions list (1,078), second in receiving yards (15,934) and tied for second with Randy Moss in receiving touchdowns (153).

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
Despite those impressive numbers Owens has never been worth the drama he has caused. Now that he's had his second hospitalization for a suspected overdose, he certainly can't be considered reliable.
In 2010, Owens had a solid season with the Cincinnati Bengals. He finished the year with 72 catches for 983 yards and nine touchdowns. But the fact that the Bengals were in no hurry to re-sign him should tell you a lot about whether those numbers were worth the headache.
During the 2009 offseason, Owens wound up in Buffalo and had no other suitors. His stint in Cincinnati arose because, again, no one else was interested in him.
I think teams have just become turned off to the whole T.O. circus that accompanies the receiver wherever he goes. When he was younger it might have been worth the craziness to take advantage of his talent, but now he is simply not worth the drama.
