WWE: Kevin Nash, John Cena, Triple H and Tuesday's Top WWE Stories
After a lackluster pay-per-view on Sunday, WWE kicked off the big build to Survivor Series last night. It was a puzzling edition of Raw in a lot of ways, but it served its purpose and now we can focus on getting ready for what will be the biggest show since WrestleMania.
John Cena and The Rock will be teaming up to take on the team of The Miz and R-Truth. It will be interesting to see the build for that match. Originally, it was supposed to be a five-on-five elimination match, but apparently the creative team made a last-second switch.

1. JOHN CENA CONFIRMS SOMETHING EVERYONE KNEW TWO MONTHS AGO
At the close of Raw on Monday night, interim general manager John Laurinaitis told John Cena that he could pick a partner of his choice to take on Miz and R-Truth at Survivor Series on Nov. 20. After pausing for a moment to think, Cena said that he needs someone who can "bring it" and picked The Rock.
Question on Everybody's Mind: How will Cena and Rock co-exist?
Our Take: They probably can't and that is a good thing. No one wants to see Cena and Rock working together. We want to see these two at each other's throats, bantering back and forth about how much they want to beat the crap out of the other.

If we are being honest, WWE has not been much fun lately. The Rock's return can't be considered anything but a positive, both for business and for the fans. Some may scoff at Rock wrestling before WrestleMania, but if it is handled right, it won't hurt the buy rate of that show one bit.

2. D-GENERATION X REUNION IN THE WORKS?
Hot on the heels of what is arguably the worst injury angle since Vince McMahon's limo exploded, Triple H could be calling for backup in the form of none other than Shawn Michaels. There are rumors floating around that a reunion could happen in the near future.
Question on Everybody's Mind: How can Triple H wrestle after being viciously attacked by Kevin Nash?
Our Take: Let's give WWE credit for trying to sell an injury with Triple H. Actually, no, because what they gave us between him and Nash on Monday came off as hokey and hilarious instead of something serious and dramatic. He will be back, probably in two weeks, and will bring some company with him.

While I would have preferred a better story to get us to this point, as long as Shawn Michaels is back on television, it is a great day for WWE fans. Even if he doesn't wrestle—I would be shocked if he does—he is a good talker and can get feuds and stories over better than most people on the roster.

3. CM PUNK WANTS ALBERTO DEL RIO AT SURVIVOR SERIES
In keeping with the tradition of wins and losses meaning absolutely nothing, CM Punk challenged Alberto Del Rio to a WWE championship match at Survivor Series.
General manager John Laurinaitis said he would give it to Punk if he said he respected the charisma-free Johnny Ace. Punk acquiesced in his own way, and Laurinaitis said he would have to deliberate one week before making his decision.
Question on Everybody's Mind: What did CM Punk do to deserve a title shot?
Our Take: Nothing! That is the beauty of WWE today: You can get championship matches after losing on two straight pay-per-views. Plus, he and Del Rio have nothing else going on with John Cena battling Miz and R-Truth. Oh, and that Rock character is coming back.

4. Michael Cole's Last Days As A WWE Announcer?
Following another classless photo display meant to bury Jim Ross, Michael Cole issued a challenge to his nemesis for a "match" next week. If Ross wins, he gets to be the lead announcer on Raw and Cole will leave WWE "forever."
Question on Everybody's Mind: Will next Monday be the end of the Michael Cole era?
Our Take: As much as we would like it to be, don't count on it. Vince McMahon loves Cole as a heel character and is going to do whatever he can to keep him on television. Plus, McMahon never misses an opportunity to humiliate Jim Ross.

Just the idea of Cole being kicked off television should be enough to bring back casual fans who want to see him get beat down by Ross. It might not happen, but the possibility is too great to ignore.

5. Booker T, The Wrestler, To Return
After months of stinking up the joint as an announcer, Booker T is going to do what he does best: wrestle. He is going to start a feud with Cody Rhodes in the near future, possibly as soon as this week on SmackDown.
Question on Everybody's Mind: Is Booker T still able to go at a high level?
Our Take: Despite not wrestling in a match since the Royal Rumble, Booker still has plenty of gas left in the tank. He has kept in shape by being a trainer on Tough Enough and his wrestling school in Houston. He has done this for a long time, so he should be fine.
Hype Meter: 6-out-of-10 Spin-a-roonies
Cody Rhodes needed a feud against a top worker, or at least someone the fans know as a top worker, and Booker T will be able to help him get better at calling matches.
Normally, I am not a fan of bringing back old guys for a one-off deal, unless it is the right time, but Booker will be a valuable asset for the company.
