The WWE universe can and they want him to come back. After announcing his match with John Cena at WrestleMania, The Rock has been popping in and out of the WWE.

He stated he was here to stay, but he hasn't been staying for too long. WWE fans are getting anxious to see the People's Champ fight again.

Here are 10 reasons the WWE needs The Rock to return in a big way.

No. 10: The WWE Could Be Losing Fans

The WWE is scared that they might be losing fans. They do not have the same following that they had when it was the late 90's and early 2000's. They have young superstars and a great future ahead but they need a star from the past to help spark this company. The Rock is the perfect superstar to do this and it will attract a lot of attention.

No. 9:This Is Not the Attitude Era

Back in the "Attitude Era," the WWE was the premier wrestling show to watch. It had so many household superstars and every age group loved the show. The Rock was one of the reasons the WWE catapulted to greatness during this time. If the Rock came back, he could help enter a new era that might get the WWE more viewers.

No. 8: Lack of Superstars

When the Rock was wrestling, he went up against some of the greatest wrestlers in history. He fought the likes of Triple H, Shawn Michaels, Stone Cold Steve Austin, the Undertaker, Kane, Goldberg, Hulk Hogan, Bret Hart and many more. The wrestlers now are good but they do not have the star power these wrestlers have. If the WWE brings back the Rock, it might bring back one or two superstars and they can help young talented athletes grow into superstars.

Bring Back Attitude Era Fans

Many of the "Attitude Era" fans have stopped watching WWE because they feel the product is not as good as it once was.

One way the WWE can generate more viewers is bringing back fan favorites and scheduling younger wrestlers for PPV events.

The Rock would be the ideal wrestler to generate interest from former fans and bring them back to watching wrestling once again.

No. 6: Having the Rock Back Would Make for Great Matches

The Rock is one of the best wrestlers in history. He has had some great matches that many fans remember. If the Rock came back, he could have some great matches with the younger stars for the WWE. It all starts with a match with John Cena which should be fantastic. This match can generate many different fights for many different wrestlers against the Rock.

No. 5: Help Develop New Stars

The Rock is one of the best technical wrestlers in wrestling history. He is also a genius at making his character very charismatic. He knew how to be both the good and bad guy and can make the fans go crazy. His talents can help develop and teach a new wave of stars which would regenerate the WWE. The Rock would be a great mentor to new talent and WWE would benefit from having him there.

No. 4: Increase Raw's Interest

Not only would the Rock's return help the WWE overall, it would bring viewers back to Monday Night Raw. This was the primary show that many fans love watching. The Rock was always a fan favorite on Monday nights and the WWE could use some help grab more viewers for Monday night Raw.

No. 3: Help John Cena's Character

John Cena has been a fan favorite for a long time, but his character has seemed to run its course.

Nothing would be better than to create a feud between The Rock and John Cena.

It would be an ultimate match between stars of two wrestling generations and could help John Cena's future in the WWE.

No. 2: Great Matches with Legends

Time and again, we have seen former superstars come back and fight. If The Rock comes back, picture a match against Triple H, Shawn Michaels and the Undertaker.

This would be fantastic, as the WWE is always looking for ways to increase viewership.

I believe The Rock would be a great addition to the WWE lineup, and he could restore some old feuds with other wrestling legends.

No. 1: Make the Fans Happy

Bring back the "People's Champ!"

The fans want him back and there is nothing more important than to keep the fans happy.

The Rock is a fan favorite and will always be. His return to the ring will make the WWE the top wrestling brand once again.
