NBA Lockout: Work Stoppage Prevents Danny Granger from Completing Batcave
Danny Granger is going to be a superhero one of these days.
The Indiana Pacers' star has designed a "BatCave" to go underneath of his home in New Mexico. The plan is for it to be based off of the original Batman movies.
Granger recently spoke with Sports Illustrated, and divulged some of the features of his BatCave.
"It’s based on the BatCave from the first set of Batman movies—starting with Michael Keaton. It will have a few aspects from the Christian Bale movies, like a drive-in pathway or tunnel that lights up as you drive through it. It’ll also have this kind of circular island, where you park your car on this big circle, and the circle spins, so that you never have to back the car out.
I’ll also have something where the car gets lifted up on that circle, like an elevator, so that it goes up a floor and actually sort of into my house. My “Batmobile” will actually go into the house. It’ll be enclosed in clear glass near my gaming area.
"
Granger is going all out on this project.
Unfortunately, he had to stop production of the Batcave because of the lockout.
The Pacers' star didn't go into specifics about why it was halted, but since he isn't receiving a paycheck, he likely doesn't want to risk blowing all of his money on a Batcave. His wife might not be too happy about that.
This is just another reason the NBA lockout needs to end. Who doesn't want to see Granger finish off his batcave?
This is already an awesome idea, but it will be crazy to see how it ends up looking when it's finished. It seems that Granger's plans to use his Batcave as a game room, but it will be interesting to see what his Batmobile will turn out to be. It would be pretty amazing if he was able to produce a replica Batmobile, but we can only hope it comes out that perfect.
Who cares about the lockout? We just want to see this batcave!
