Carson Palmer Trade: Twitter's Reaction to Blockbuster Raiders-Bengals Trade
Carson Palmer to the Raiders is one of the biggest trades to occur just before the NFL trade deadline in years. Mike Brown couldn't resist dealing away Palmer with the king's ransom of a first-round pick and conditional pick that can turn into another first-rounder.
The Raiders are 4-2, and with Jason Campbell going down with a broken collarbone this weekend, they weren't ready to throw in the towel and let this season go down the tubes. They got a veteran quarterback who gives an immediate lift to the vertical passing game, to go along with their stellar run game.

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
Both teams are vying for a wild-card spot, and the Raiders even have a serious shot at winning the division. The Bengals load up for the future and the Raiders look to cash in to win with this move.
Not surprisingly, this trade has become all the rage on Twitter. Here are Twitter reactions from around the league.
Jay Glazer has been on this story from the very beginning. He not only knew the trade was going to go through, but also what the details of the trade were. Here is how his Twitter has looked since he broke the news.
Jason LaCanfora feels that this deal was good for both sides, which seems to be the popular consensus. The Raiders are going for it with a perfect fit that may save their playoff hopes. The Bengals gear up for the future and part ways with a guy who isn't contributing anyways.
Reggie McKenzie is a guy who has been linked to the Raiders for some time now. The Silver and Black could obviously use a guy who has some of Ted Thompson's magic sprinkled on him. Even so, with no picks until the fifth round next season and potentially no first-rounders until 2014, would McKenzie even want to take over a team's personnel when he doesn't have the tools to build?
There is a claim that Adam Schefter caught wind of this trade yesterday, but held onto the story to protect his informants. It's believable. Schefter held onto this story to maintain his relationship with his informants.
If you tell Schefter something in confidence, he can keep his mouth shut. If indeed he did know about this story and refused to compromise his journalistic integrity in order to break the big story, kudos to you Adam Schefter.
Mike Brown looked like a hard-headed idiot for sticking to his guns and not dealing Palmer away. It's sort of ironic how he has gone from stubborn tyrant to hero in Cincinnati with this trade.
