NFL Trade Speculation: Chiefs Best Suited to Keep Dwayne Bowe in Kansas City
With the NFL trade deadline less than a week away, there is plenty of room for rumors. With those rumors, and suggested possible trades, there is also plenty of room for disagreement.
One of those situations surrounds Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Dwayne Bowe.
ESPN's Adam Schefter said that he thinks the Chiefs and Titans should make a move with each other for a second- and fifth-round draft pick.

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
In his AFC West Blog, Bill Williamson disagrees, and I have to agree with Williamson in this debate.
A few things need to be pointed out about the Chiefs. First of all, they are only 2-3. I know, they are in a division with one 4-1 team and another 3-2 team, so significant progress is highly unlikely.
Still, they are starting to play a lot better than they were at the beginning of the year. Remember this team lost its first two games by a combined score of 89-10.
But even if this season is dead, remember that the Chiefs are the defending division champions. Any team that loses Tony Moeaki in the preseason, Eric Berry in the first week and Jamaal Charles in the second week is going to feel the pain of a bad win-loss record.
Still, in 2012, the Chiefs will likely return much of the same group that won the AFC West in 2010. So, let me ask you this: wouldn't you want a guy who had over 1,162 yards and 15 touchdown passes in that season?
Plus, it's not like Bowe is having a bad year this year. Through four weeks, he has 420 yards receiving and four touchdown catches.
Now, what the 2010 Chiefs did not have was Steve Breaston or Jon Baldwin. But so what? Look at the best teams in the NFL today. They all have more than the classic two receiving options.
The draft picks would be nice for the Chiefs. Still, this is not a season to overreact to. They lost three key players early to season-ending injuries. Sure, 2011 will probably not be what the Chiefs expected after the 2010 season, but it's not worth panicking over.
They are best served to keep Bowe and reload in 2012.
