Fantasy Football Week 6 Projections: Brandon Marshall and 5 Players Set to Fail
Week 6 of the NFL regular season is upon us, and several fantasy football players are counting on their elite guys to deliver.
There are always the big-time playmakers that you can count on every week, but occasionally they will let you down.
Every fantasy football player has their go-to guy and their must-starts, but when those players fall flat on their faces it can be the sole reason someone loses in fantasy football.
Such is the case with the list that follows here. Whether it's because of the matchup or the player just isn't producing, these five players will flop in Week 6.
Reggie Bush
1 of 5The Miami Dolphins really believed they were getting something great when they traded for Reggie Bush before the season.
Bush doesn't have a rushing touchdown on the year, and he only has one receiving touchdown.
Everybody knows he can make plays, but against the New York Jets on Monday night he is sure to fail, which is why he needs to be on your bench.
I wonder if the Dolphins got a pizza when they traded for Bush.
BenJarvus Green-Ellis
2 of 5BenJarvus Green-Ellis has had two great weeks, but he's going to struggle in Week 6 against the Dallas Cowboys.
Green-Ellis splits time with Stevan Ridley, which hurts his value, and while he's the guy scoring touchdowns, I don't see him having a stellar game on Sunday.
The Cowboys have the best run defense in the league right now, and I expect Tom Brady to air it out a bunch, which will cause Green-Ellis to lose points.
DeAngelo Williams
3 of 5Williams is still the Carolina Panthers' most explosive running back, but splitting time with Jonathan Stewart and losing goal-line carries to Cam Newton does not help his fantasy value.
He hasn't done much this season, and he's not going to shine bright against the Atlanta Falcons on Sunday, who rank in the top 10 in rushing defense this season.
Last week was his first game he scored double-digit fantasy points, but Newton is going to be passing the ball a bunch since the Falcons secondary is their weak spot. Don't expect much from Williams this week—or the rest of the year, for that matter.
Matt Schaub
4 of 5If Matt Schaub is your only quarterback, I suggest hitting the waiver wires this week to see who's available because he's not going to have a good week.
The Baltimore Ravens will host the Houston Texans, and their defense won't have any problems shutting down Schaub.
The Texans are without Andre Johnson, which means they'll look to Arian Foster and the ground and pound for success on offense.
The Ravens are also coming off a bye, which means they're very well rested and ready to stop Schaub from having even a decent game.
Brandon Marshall
5 of 5The Miami Dolphins' top receiver won't find much success on Revis Island this Sunday.
Toss in the fact that Marshall plans to get ejected in the second quarter, and you have a lock for fantasy failure this week.
I admire his passion of wanting to play like a monster, but he's not going to dominate against the New York Jets, especially since Matt Moore is taking over the starting QB job for the injured Chad Henne.
