Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
"Serious injuries for Benard. Browns medical trainers at hospital. Sources telling me, possible broken ribs, broken wrist.tons/ of road rash.
"
According to Telich, "Benard was going at a high rate of speed...very fortunate to be in one piece."
Benard, who was signed by the Browns in 2009 as an undrafted free agent out of Jackson State, led the team with 3.5 sacks last season.
He wasn't logging a ton of playing time in 2011, but this is much more important than on-the-field issues.
Benard's injury marks a much too common occurrence of sports figures crashing their motorcycles, joining Ben Roethlisberger and Kellen Winslow most notably.
It's an unfortunate trend, but it's something that tends to happen with young athletes who can afford motorcycles that have two wheels in front and are able to hit top speeds.
This is surely a tough time for Benard's family, the Browns organization and the whole Cleveland community, so let's hope the 26-year-old is OK.
Hopefully his injuries don't turn out to be life-threatening, but we'll keep you updated as soon as we get more information.
