Chris Cooley and Tony Romo Cage Fight: Who You Got?

Mike ChiariOct 5, 2011

In a recent interview on the LaVar and Dukes radio show in Washington, Redskins tight end Chris Cooley expressed great pleasure with regards to Tony Romo and the Dallas Cowboys blowing a 24-point lead to the Detroit Lions on Sunday.

Cooley didn't stop there, however, as he expressed his desire to battle Romo in a cage fight, according to Michael David Smith of ProFootballTalk.com. Obviously Cooley was joking (I hope), but I must admit that it would be a very intriguing fight.

Before speculating on who might win this fantasy cage fight, take a look at the tale of the tape for a Cooley vs. Romo clash.

After analyzing that highly scientific and in-depth tale of the tape, it is still very unclear as to which gridiron warrior would come out on top. Seeing as Cooley is younger, bigger and presumably stronger, he would probably have the edge.

If it were to play out in relation to their football talents, then it would probably begin with Romo coming out guns a blazing. He would build a massive lead on the scorecards and would have do nothing in the latter rounds other than dance around the cage.

Inexplicably, Romo would go for the knockout blow, however, and wind up costing himself the match as Cooley completes a furious comeback. In the end, Romo would probably come away with a broken rib, or a broken collarbone or smallpox.

Cooley would ultimately win the bout, but as is the case in the football world, nobody would care. Cooley can talk as much trash as he wants, but the reality is that Romo is the bigger draw on the football field and he would be the bigger draw in the octagon as well.
