NFL Power Rankings: Which Teams Form League's Basement?

Zach KruseOct 3, 2011

We still have one game remaining in the NFL's Week 4 slate, but here are the teams that comprise the basement of the league's power rankings for Week 5:

26. Denver Broncos (1-3)

The Broncos were assaulted by Aaron Rodgers and the Packers offense, who simply had too many weapons in the passing game for the Broncos to stop. Eric Decker (two TDs), Brandon Lloyd (134 yards) and Von Miller (two sacks) all had individually solid games.

27. Seattle Seahawks (1-3)

The Seahawks almost gave the NFL a third game with a 20-point or more comeback on Sunday, but Seattle fell two points short against the Falcons. Tarvaris Jackson (319 yards, 3 TDs, 2 INTs) had his best game as a Seahawk.

28. Kansas City Chiefs (1-3)

The Chiefs snuck out of the league's toilet bowl game with a win against the Vikings. Five Ryan Succop field goals and a 52-yard score from Dwayne Bowe was all it took to get the Chiefs first win of 2011.

29. Miami Dolphins (0-4)

Credit the Dolphins for fighting, especially after a long trip to the West Coast and with your backup quarterback for most of the contest. Miami just seems overmatched on both sides of the ball, both schematically and talent-wise.

30. Indianapolis Colts (0-3)

I don't think we'll be seeing another Monday Night Miracle from the Colts, who came back from 21 down with four minutes left in 2003 to shock the Buccaneers in Tampa Bay.

31. St. Louis Rams (0-4)

The Rams simply don't have NFL quality receivers for quarterback Sam Bradford, and the offense struggles to get things going when Steven Jackson doesn't provide big plays. They still play in the NFC West, but this looks like a lost season in St. Louis.

32. Minnesota Vikings (0-4)

The Vikings' locker room has to be searching for answers. They blew three double digit leads to start the season, then a loss to the lowly Chiefs put them at 0-4 for the first time since 2002.
