WWE vs. TNA: 12 Inter-Promotional Feuds I Would Like to See
Would you like to see AJ Styles face John Morrison? Would you like to see Austin Aries face Daniel Bryan? Would you like to break in to Vince McMahon's office and sign every single TNA wrestler on this list?
Now is your chance. You get to match up all the WWE and TNA wrestlers into a list of feuds. I certainly have several feuds that will blow the roof off of the building. I managed to whittle it down to 12 feuds.
Here is the honorable mention list of the feuds who didn't quite make the cut.
Honorable Mention
1 of 13I had to make some very difficult choices to whittle the great feuds down to 12. Thankfully, there is no shortage of classic feuds I can create if both WWE and TNA merged.
- Rob Terry vs. Mason Ryan: loser must take drug test (just kidding).
- James Storm vs. Cody Rhodes: very underrated feud. Southerners will be very interested as to who comes out on top.
- Abyss vs. Kane: This match can either put you to sleep or totally enthrall you. There's no in between.
- Hunico and Hernandez vs. Rey Mysterio and Sin Cara: Hunico replaces Anarquia as Mexican America's second member. It's bandanas vs. masks for this match!
- Samoa Joe vs. Mark Henry: Hide the women and children!
- Miz vs. Pope: Your eyes do not deceive you! Pope is on TV!
- Christian vs. Bobby Roode: Canada will be proud. Wrestling purists will be furious after they realize I put R-Truth vs. Scott Steiner ahead of them.
- Eric Young vs. Santino: Quit insulting Eric Young like that.
- Zack Ryder vs. Robbie E: Are you serious bro? WWWYKI
Mr. Anderson vs. Randy Orton
2 of 13This feud stems from Randy Orton allegedly running Mr. Anderson, then known as Mr. Kennedy, out of WWE. Orton supposedly complained to WWE management about Anderson botching a suplex in a tag match.
However, this feud goes beyond the incident a couple of years ago. Ken Anderson and Randy Orton are jerks in and out of the ring.
In short, Anderson hates Orton. Orton hates Anderson. This is the main ingredient to create a meaningful wrestling feud.
Anderson and Orton can play both heel and face well enough to make this feud versatile. Orton is the better man in the ring, but Anderson blows the Viper away on the mic.
Give these men a hardcore stipulation to fully enhance the experience of the match.
John Cena vs. Bully Ray
3 of 13This feud is a bit under the radar to me. It has the potential to be a great feud, given a proper buildup. The top heel in TNA faces the top heel in WWE (by accident?).
Bully Ray is one of the top heels in the wrestling industry. He salvaged his career from retirement by turning on Devon last year. He is truly hated by the fans.
John Cena can go back to his more popular chain-gang persona. He can even drop a rhyme or two on Bully Ray. Over/under on fat jokes is 10. Over/under on Be A Star complaints is 40.
Make this match a Last Man Standing match. Bully Ray knows how to wrestle hardcore matches. John Cena's Last Man Standing match with Umaga at the Royal Rumble was very impressive.
Velvet Sky vs. Kelly Kelly
4 of 13Sorry. The PG rating stands.
Matt Morgan vs. Sheamus
5 of 13This is beyond the battle of the bicycle kicks. This is beyond the Blue Print facing the Celtic Warrior. This is beyond the DNA of TNA facing the Great White.
This is a war.
Both Sheamus and Morgan can work the mic and the ring very well. Sheamus has had a white hot run as a face. Morgan is able to play both heel and face very well.
Vincent Kennedy McMahon will pay close attention to this match. He knew he let a great talent like Matt Morgan get away from him.
He won't make that same mistake again with Sheamus.
Scott Steiner vs. R-Truth
6 of 13This is a heel vs. heel feud with the potential of exploding the imagination of wrestling fans. The microphone will be exhausted once this feud is over. The match might not be that great, but this is pure entertainment.
There is no one finer than Scott Steiner when it comes to entertaining the fans. R-Truth rescued his career by turning heel and going insanely awesome.
R-Truth might get got by the genetic freak. Both Steiner and R-Truth can even rap!
I'm salivating over this feud already! Enjoy your egg done by Scott Steiner!
Daniel Bryan vs. Austin Aries
7 of 13Another five-star match waiting to happen blesses the eyes of wrestling fans.
Vince McMahon should have signed Austin Aries when he had the chance. Aries is the total package, except for his lack of size.
Sadly, the lack of size trait prevents WWE from looking for talent. Well, at least they have CM Punk as the top guy. OK, maybe that lack of size thing has changed. Oh wait, no it hasn't.
Jeff Jarrett vs. Triple H
8 of 13Wrestling fans can learn several lessons in history in this feud. Expect lots of shoot promos from Jarrett's side. He and Vince McMahon have legitimate bad blood between them.
Triple H can say Jarrett was a failure in WWE and WCW, so he created TNA out of bitterness from his failures. Jarrett can say Triple H married the boss' daughter to get to the top. Triple H can retort that he didn't have to steal someone's wife to get married.
Jarrett can remind Triple H that he didn't have to sleep his way to the top. Then again, Triple H didn't have to create his own company to go to the top.
Triple H will rally the WWE fans while Jarrett will rally the TNA fans.
I will admit, both men have been better in the past. But don't think for a second Jeff Jarrett or Triple H can't wrestle or talk anymore. Just look at Triple H's match with CM Punk at Night of Champions for proof. Look at Jeff Jarrett's excellent match with Kurt Angle at Slammiversary.
Dolph Ziggler vs. AJ Styles
9 of 13Three words: five-star match.
CM Punk vs. Kurt Angle vs. Jeff Hardy
10 of 13While the Jeff Hardy vs. CM Punk feud was outstanding, I want to create a new feud. A new feud fans haven't thought about too much.
Best in the World vs. Olympic Gold Medalist vs. Charismatic Enigma is the ultimate feud for wrestling fans.
It will deliver in the ring and on the mic. Angle can work a great match with anybody, much less a great wrestler like CM Punk. Hardy and Punk have had great matches dating back to 2009. Angle and Hardy had a nice match back in 2010.
Angle can play the heel, Punk can play the antihero and Hardy can be the clear-cut good guy.
Each man has a unique set of fans to cheer for them.
CM Punk will attack Angle and Hardy on their non-straight edge lifestyle. Angle will say Punk didn't win a gold medal. Hardy can say Punk ran him off out of WWE while Angle tried to do the same in TNA.
Bring back Kurt Angle's old theme song for this. Cult of Personality has nothing on this theme.
This is the ultimate three-way feud. All three of these men have a legitimate reason for hating each other.
But there is one feud that is bigger.
Vince McMahon vs. Eric Bischoff
11 of 13I can't believe the Invasion angle left out WCW names such as Eric Bischoff, Ric Flair, Hulk Hogan and countless other big names. I have realized there is one feud that has never happened. These men have aligned before, but never feuded.
Vince McMahon vs. Eric Bischoff
This is the ultimate culmination of the Monday Night Wars. It is a sheer travesty the leaders of hated rivals WCW and WWE have never feuded. This is the perfect feud for wrestling fans to understand history.
No, this is not between Immortal and Vince's favorite wrestlers. This is not between Shane McMahon and Garrett Bischoff (I apologize to Shane for comparing the two).
This is between Vince McMahon and Eric Bischoff. Wrestling matters. But there is one feud that surpasses this one.
Sting vs. Undertaker
12 of 13Do I really need to say anything?
Conclusion
13 of 13These 12 feuds will be off the chain. All of the feuds should either be well-rounded or be incredibly spectacular in one particular area.
For example, R-Truth vs. Scott Steiner will blow away everyone else on the mic. AJ Styles vs. Dolph Ziggler and Daniel Bryan vs. Austin Aries will stand out as great wrestling matches. A feud like Mr. Anderson and Randy Orton would deliver on both fronts.
But the greatest feud of all is between Eric Young and Santino. TNA should apologize to Eric Young for relegating him to a comedy act.
