NFL Power Rankings Week 4: Seattle Seahawks and the Top 5 Andrew Luck Suitors
There's nothing good about finishing with the worst record in the NFL.
Well, except for the fact that the team with the worst record gets the No. 1 overall pick in the NFL Draft. And when you consider that team will get a shot at Andrew Luck in 2012, you might say that the idea of finishing with the worst record in the league this year is pretty awesome.
Make no mistake, there's not a team in the league that wouldn't love to have a shot at Luck. But through three weeks of the regular season, there are only a handful of teams that are actually vying for a shot at Luck.
These would be the teams at the very bottom of my Week 4 NFL Power Rankings (below). But before we get carried away, we should clarify that not every team vying for Luck is actually a suitor for him.
No, sir, there are only five teams that fit that particular bill. Let's go ahead and count them down.

5. Denver Broncos (No. 22)
1 of 5You have to admit, the idea of John Elway drafting Andrew Luck is almost too perfect. Many think Luck is going to be the next John Elway, and both learned to play football at Stanford.
Three weeks into the season, I do think the Broncos have a shot at Luck. But barely.
The problem is that I'm just not so sure the Broncos are going to be bad enough to compete for the No. 1 pick all season. They're not good, but I think they're good enough to go 5-11 or 6-10. And this year, that's not going to come close to getting them the No. 1 pick.
In case you're wondering, I've maintained for weeks now that the presence of Tim Tebow would not deter the Broncos from drafting Luck. That's my story, and I see no reason not to stick to it.
4. Kansas City Chiefs (No. 32)
2 of 5Of all the teams vying for Andrew Luck, I think the Chiefs represent the biggest quandary.
On the one hand, the Chiefs are certainly bad enough to finish with the league's worst record. That they have a pretty tough schedule ahead of them is not going to help matters.
On the other hand, I'm not 100 percent certain that the Chiefs would take Luck if they had the chance. They have Matt Cassel signed through 2014, and they might not be willing to cast him aside so they can bring in Luck.
Would they? My guess is that they probably would, but I do have my doubts.
3. Indianapolis Colts (No. 31)
3 of 5The idea of the Colts drafting Andrew Luck has been one of the more intriguing storylines in the NFL ever since SI.com's Peter King revealed that team president Bill Polian had scouted Luck earlier this month.
Exactly what makes the idea intriguing is not hard to determine. The last quarterback the Colts drafted No. 1 overall was Peyton Manning back in 1998, and Luck would be given a few years to learn under Manning before taking the reins for himself later on.
It would be kind of like the whole Brett Favre-Aaron Rodgers thing, except more high-profile.
The question is whether or not the Colts are bad enough to finish with the league's worst record. That's where I'm a little uncertain, as I don't think they're as bad as the Chiefs or the Seattle Seahawks.
If the Colts do get the No. 1 pick, though, I don't think there's any question that they would use it on Luck.
2. Miami Dolphins (No. 27)
4 of 5Right now, I actually think the Dolphins are better than their 0-3 record would indicate.
That said, I think they're only going to get worse. The team's talent level is subpar, and Tony Sparano is a subpar head coach. Things could spiral out of control in no time.
If and when that happens, the Dolphins are definitely going to be in the mix for the No. 1 pick. And if they get it, you had better believe that they would draft him and then subsequently give Chad Henne the boot.
If you're wondering why I have the Dolphins ranked ahead of the Colts, it's because Indy wants Andrew Luck. Miami needs Andrew Luck.
1. Seattle Seahawks (No. 30)
5 of 5So the Seahawks have won a game. Whoop-dee-freaking-doo. They may be 1-2, but they're still a dreadful team.
I'm being mean, but Seahawks fans should want to agree with me. Whether they like it or not, the Seahawks are probably the league's top contender for the No. 1 overall pick. And make no mistake about it, they need Luck's talents more than any team in the league.
If you look back to this past draft, it's almost like the Seahawks were preparing for Luck's arrival. Their first two picks were offensive linemen, which gave them much needed production for a quarterback.
That quarterback is not Tarvaris Jackson. He is a placeholder. It's just a question of whether or not he will be replaced by Luck, Landry Jones or Matt Barkley.
Seahawks fans should be crossing their fingers for Luck.
