Cardinals vs. Seahawks: 5 Halftime Adjustments Arizona Must Make
Big game for the Arizona Cardinals as they face the winless Seattle Seahawks in a heated NFC West division battle. The 1-1 Cardinals hope to avenge last season’s losses to Seattle and dethrone the defending division champs.
Let’s take a look at 5 adjustments the Cardinals must make in order to escape Sunday with a win.
1. Bring Help Over the Top

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
The Cardinals need their safeties to step up for the remainder of the game as the Seahawks will continue to try to take advantage of late safety help over the top. Arizona safety Adrian Wilson has already been burned for big plays in the first two weeks and if the Cardinals want to win this game they have to make sure they contain big gains.
2. Plug the Middle
Seahawks’ RBs Leon Washington and Marshawn Lynch both already have big gains running straight through the middle of the Cardinals’ D-Line. Arizona needs to start plugging the middle with heavy pressure and running different kinds of run blitzes.
3. Keep Attacking Browner
Seattle’s CB Brandon Browner will be matched up on WR Larry Fitzgerald for the remainder of the game. The Cardinals should try to capitalize on this mismatch by looking for Fitz when he is in single coverage against Browner.
4. Chester Taylor Up the Middle
The Cardinals need to start pounding more downhill runs with RB Chester Taylor. When the Seahawks play two safeties deep there should be big room up the middle of the field for Taylor to break off nice gains.
5. Look to the Flats
Seattle knows Fitzgerald is the big play threat. Arizona should start looking to the flats for easy completions to their tight ends and running backs when Fitzgerald attracts double coverage.
