Michael Vick Injury: How Has QB's Concussion Affected Eagles' Strategy?
In the first half of the game, Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Michael Vick has faced a great deal of pressure from the New York Giants defense.
He's taken a number of hits and appeared woozy at one point and briefly sat on the sideline sans helmet before returning to the game.
As of halftime, Vick is 11-of-16 for 113 yards and an interception; certainly, his injury and the ensuing pressure from the Giants defense is keeping his pass attempts low.

Instead, the Eagles appear to be focusing on the run. Not only has running back LeSean McCoy rushed 15 times for 88 yards and a touchdown, No. 2 back Ronnie Brown has also been a factor for the first time this season.
The Eagles appear to be taking a conservative approach with Vick, who appears to still be suffering ill effects from last week's concussion. He's throwing poorly when incomplete, and his offensive line isn't holding up well enough to allow the Eagles to risk having him get hit more than he already has.
Philadelphia is down, 14-13, at the half. They need to take the lead, and stop the Giants from scoring more points. Otherwise, they will be stuck having to play from behind, pass the ball more and leave Vick open to more hard hits.
The Eagles would be well served to keep up the run-based attack if they can manage to do so in the second half. Otherwise, they might end up in a situation similar to last week, with Mike Kafka having to take over after Vick can no longer play.
