Steven Jackson Injury: Latest News Regarding St. Louis Rams RB's Hamstring
The good news for St. Louis looking came early with the game-time decision by the Rams that running back Steven Jackson will be active for Sunday’s Week 3 matchup with the Baltimore Ravens.
It wasn’t looking good Sunday morning for Jackson, who was listed as questionable thanks to a nasty quadriceps injury after having missed Monday’s loss to the New York Giants.
Technically, Jackson has just missed the one game, but the reality is that he’s effectively missed both the first and second games. He hurt himself on his first carry of the season, a 47-yard run against the Philadelphia Eagles in the opener.

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
He was inactive last week and this week did not practice on Wednesday, although he got some limited work with the Rams offense during practices Thursday and Friday. About an hour before the game started, the Rams said Jackson would be active, although it's not yet clear how much he will play.
Without Jackson, the Rams normally might turn to new addition Cadillac Williams. He rolled for 91 yards in the first game of the season against the Eagles, but now he’s got a hamstring issue that could keep him from playing at the top of his game.
If Jackson and Williams are both out of the running, then another off-season free agent signee, Jerious Norwood, would get the call. He’s healthy, but he does have a history of injuries, too.
The Rams don’t want to be a one-trick pony and have quarterback Sam Bradford doing all the work, but with Sunday’s matchup against a Ravens offense that ranks fourth against the run, that could be what awaits the still-winless Rams.
