Tony Romo Injury: More Unfair Criticism Awaits QB vs. Washington Redskins
I have never seen an opinion of one player change so quickly.
After Week 1, you would think that Tony Romo was the worst quarterback in the league.
In Week 2, he came back strong and led his team to a fourth quarter comeback victory while clearly banged up.

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
All of a sudden, he went from the worst quarterback in the history of the game to one of the best in the league.
Dallas fans: you may not realize just how good Romo is. No, he's not Tom Brady, Drew Brees or Aaron Rodgers, but Romo has been an excellent quarterback in Dallas throughout his run.
Everything that happens to the Cowboys is overblown. When they win, how good they are is often overblown. When they lose, how bad they are is overblown.
They are just one of those teams that attracts massive amounts of scrutiny and attention.
Now, they have a relatively big Monday Night Football game against the Redskins. According to ESPN's Adam Schefter, Romo is listed as questionable for the game.

Should Romo play however, it raises one question: Will Dallas win?
I foresee a few different scenarios.
Scenario 1: He plays, Dallas wins
This is the best thing for Romo and the fans. Romo's status as a tough guy takes another big step in the right direction.
Scenario 2: He plays, Dallas loses
Who knows what will happen if this plays out.
If Romo plays well in a loss, he is probably okay—that is to say, he's okay unless he makes mistakes in the fourth quarter. If that happens, the criticism will be never-ending.
Unfortunately for Dallas fans, this is the scenario that I envision. Dallas is a beaten up team and Washington is red hot.
I can certainly see myself being wrong on this one, but the perfect storm awaits.
If Dallas loses to Washington, they do more than lose to their main rival; they fall to 1-2, which would be two games back in the division. In the process, they basically eliminate all of the positive effects from the come-from-behind Week 2 victory over the San Francisco 49ers.
If they lose, will it be Romo's fault? I am not a psychic, but no, it rarely is. Again, Dallas is riddled with injuries (including Romo) and the Redskins are always bring their A-game against the Cowboys.
But that doesn't mean that the criticism won't follow. For Dallas' sake, the only way to avoid more undue criticism of their quarterback is for them to win.
Otherwise, someone on the team has to volunteer to do this:
I can't imagine that anyone wants to do that.
