NFL Picks Week 3: Green Bay Packers at Chicago Bears Prop Bets

The Green Bay Packers (2-0) and Chicago Bears (1-1) will be meeting for the third time in nine months inside Soldier Field in Chicago, IL.  Sunday's kickoff is scheduled for 4:15 p.m. EDT on FOX.

Odds makers have likely placed the right line on this contest, as Green Bay has remained four-point road favorites for most of the week, while the total has stayed relatively close to the opening number of 45.

Casual sports bettors will love betting on proposition wagers in this contest due to the quarterback match up of Aaron Rodgers and Jay Cutler.

Matt Forte, Rushing and Receving Yards

Chicago Bears running back Matt Forte is the key player for the host in this contest, as he's gotten off to a fantastic start during the 2011 campaign.

He has already amassed 324 total yards this season and it's vital that offensive coordinator Mike Martz designs plays for him early.

Quarterback Jay Cutler has already been sacked 11 times, while head coach Lovie Smith wasn't thrilled with the disparity in play calls last week.

Jermichael Finley, Total Receiving Yards

Green Bay Packers tight end Jermichael Finley is starting to show signs of being fully recovered from last year's injury and has caught eight passes for 121 yards in two games.

Odds makers have gotten lazy in posting this number, as 121 divided by two equals the posted number for his receiving yards in this proposition wager.

In taking it a step further, he finished last year with 301 yards in five games, which is eerily similar to the number once again.

Fact of the matter is, Chicago doesn't have anyone that can match up with Finley in the passing game. 

He only played in the first series meeting of 2010, coming away with nine catches for 115 yards, which actually led or tied for the team lead in both categories.

Absolutely love this prop, and so should you.

Recommendation:  Over 60.5 Receiving Yards

Devin Hester vs. Donald Driver

Chicago Bears wide receiver Devin Hester just needs that one big play to cover this number, which could definitely happen due to the Packers' allowing both of their opponents to throw for over 400 yards each week.

Donald Driver is starting to show some wear and tear in his 13th year in the league, catching just five passes for 51 yards in the first two games.  Those numbers are even a drop off from his 51 receptions and 565 yards in 15 contests in 2010.

Jermichael Finley's reemergence in the offense and Greg Jennings' being the superior wideout, makes him the No. 3 option in the passing game—and that's being generous.

Hester hasn't gotten off to a great start this year, but he was targeted nine times last week.

Earl Bennett will not play and Roy Williams—well he's Roy Williams.
