Dallas Cowboys: Tony Romo Injury Has Dallas Dealing with Deja Vu
Tell me if you have heard this one before. The Cowboys come into the season with a lot of talent and hope that this could be a special year.
After a less than inspiring start to the season, things get even worse when they lose quarterback Tony Romo to an injury.
If that sounds familiar, it's because this exact same thing happened just last season.

Last year, the Cowboys got off to a putrid start under former head coach Wade Phillips. Along the way, they also lost Tony Romo for the season with a fractured clavicle.
This year, the Cowboys are off to a 1-1 start, but neither performance has been all that inspiring. They gave up a game to the Jets in Week 1 and in Week 2, they got an overtime win over the 49ers, a far inferior team.
The Romo injury this time around is a broken rib and a punctured lung. There's no word yet on how serious the injuries are or how long Romo will be out, but it doesn't sound good. Romo himself admitted that's the injuries make it tough to breathe and talk.
Head coach Jason Garrett seems to disagree. In a blog post on ESPN.com by Todd Archer and Ed Werder, Garrett had the following to say, "I would not think there's any reason to think that he won't play Monday, we're certainly hopeful."
If Romo is out for any period of time, you have to think the chances that the Cowboys' season will be truly special are slim.
In short, it doesn't look like this is the Cowboys' season. In addition to Romo, Miles Austin and Felix Jones have also been nicked up.
The 2011 season will bring some serious deja vu to the Cowboys and their fans.
