Knowshon Moreno Injury: Willis McGahee Benefits in Terms of Touches
What a disaster for Knowshon Moreno.
He was supposed to have his breakout season for the Denver Broncos, but instead he’s hurt yet again.
For what seems like the 100th time, Moreno has aggravated a hamstring injury and may be missing next week’s game against the Cincinnati Bengals.

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
It’s a huge blow to fantasy owners who were foolishly tricked into thinking this was going to be a big year for the 2009 first-round pick. Instead, owners are scrambling to the waiver wire hoping to see if Willis McGahee is available.
If Monday night was any indication, McGahee is going to be a pleasant surprise. While he only got nine touches in Week 1, it was really the offensive coordinator's fault that the team threw the ball almost four times as much as they ran.
McGahee made some strong plays in the passing game and seems to still have the burst that has garnered him success in the past.
Don’t expect the unbalanced offense to continue.
The Bengals are still experiencing growing pains with new linebackers, and the holes will be there more often than against the Raiders. With the only other option being Lance Ball, there is no doubt in my mind that McGahee will get at least 20 touches. McGahee's ability to pass-block and catch balls on third down is going to keep him in the game for almost its entirety.
As for Moreno…yeesh.
Fantasy owners should bench him and curse themselves for drafting him. Moreno's status for Week 2 is still very much up in the air, but he’s not worth a start. Against the Raiders he wasn’t hitting the hole hard, sidestepped too often and put up a poultry 2.8 yards per carry.
In other words, nothing has changed, and now a tender hamstring is going to impede any sort of progress.
It’s a tough blow for Moreno and the Broncos, but expect McGahee to reap all of the benefits.
