Raiders vs. Broncos: Kyle Orton's Woes Have Fans Wanting Tim Tebow in Week 2
If the Denver Broncos organization was hoping the frenzy over Tim Tebow would die down, starting quarterback Kyle Orton certainly didn't help matters Monday against the Oakland Raiders.
Except for a touchdown drive late in the game, Orton ensured the Broncos would disappoint their loyal fans in Denver on Monday, going 24-for-46 and tossing one touchdown and one interception.
Sure, Orton was going up against a pretty good pass defense in the Raiders, but his numbers actually made him look better than he actually was in Week 1. The offense was simply out of sync. Orton threw balls well above receivers' heads and failed to lead them to an offensive touchdown until 3:48 remaining in the game.

The only reason the Broncos were close was because second-year pro Eric Decker returned a punt 90 yards for a touchdown at the beginning of the second half.
It wasn't a surprise that the Broncos gave the reins to Orton this season, given that he threw 20 touchdowns and nine interceptions in 2010, but he looked lost on Monday and was nowhere near the player he had become in the last two seasons in Denver.
When you look at Orton's play and can remark, "Hey, maybe Tebow could have done better," than you know something's terribly, terribly wrong.
Orton has a whole fanbase of doubters after one week. Unfortunately for him and the Broncos organization, that fanbase is his own.
The chants for Tim Tebow have only gotten louder.
