Dez Bryant Injury: Dallas Cowboys WR Will Be Healthy and Dominate Against 49ers
Fear not, Cowboys fans. Dez Bryant should be ready to go when Dallas travels to San Francisco to take on the 49ers this Sunday.
Bryant bruised his thigh on a punt return and suffered through leg cramps during the Cowboys' 27-24 loss to the New York Jets at MetLife Stadium on Sunday Night Football. The second-year wide receiver out of Oklahoma State had a sensational first five minutes of the game against shutdown corner Darrelle Revis, nabbing three balls for 71 yards and a touchdown, but practically disappeared from that point on.
Cowboys owner Jerry Jones was anything but pleased with Bryant's latest setback and may even consider barring his star wide receiver from fielding punts in the future:

"“I’m just saying he’s getting hurt on returns. He got knocked out last year and got limited in this game on a punt return.”

Whether or not Bryant is held out of his beloved punt-returning duties, he should have little trouble putting up big numbers against the 49ers, assuming, of course, that he's healthy enough to play. San Fran sports a rather suspect secondary, to say the least, one that made even Tarvaris Jackson look serviceable on Sunday.
Certainly, Tony Romo is a far superior quarterback to T-Jax, and Bryant to any and every receiver who played for Seattle against the Niners, including Mike Williams and rookie Doug Baldwin.
The big question for Bryant, even if his quad is good to go, will be one of conditioning. Bryant missed the final month of the 2010 season when he fractured his ankle against the Colts in December, thereby making Sunday's game against Gang Green his first meaningful action in more than 10 months. Bryant is likely still shaking off some of the residual rust from that injury.
Hence, the cramps.
Nonetheless, the Cowboys will need their most talented receiver to make sure his physical conditioning is up to snuff. Dallas' offensive slowdown coincided all too well with Bryant's.
Luckily for Romo and company, the Cowboys have enough offensive weapons—Miles Austin, Jason Witten and Felix Jones, to name a few—that they should be able to even their record at 1-1 with a win over San Fran, with or without Bryant back to 100 percent.
That being said, their chances of success, both in their upcoming game and during the 2011 season on the whole, will skyrocket if Bryant can stay effective while on the field.
