Arizona Diamondbacks: Winning, Winning, Winning and Gearing Up for the Playoffs
The Arizona Diamondbacks are on a tear right now, with the team having won 8-of-10 and 13-of-15.
On Wednesday night, they capped off a series win in Colorado with a 5-3 win.
The D'Backs are now an impressive 82-61 on the season and hold a seven-game lead in the NL West.

Yankees Call Up 6'7" Prospect 📈
With three weeks left in the season, the team keeps finding ways to win. Whether it's stellar pitching or come-from-behind hitting, the Diamondbacks don't go easy these days. Wednesday night was no different—the team used five pitchers in order to come from behind and earn the victory.
The Diamondbacks now head home and turn their attention toward the San Diego Padres. The teams square off in a four-game series this weekend.
While the Padres may be in last place in the NL West, no team should be taken lightly. After all, the D'backs were in the Padres' situation at this same time last year. Manager Kirk Gibson will be sure to remind his team of this and have them ready for battle.
Taking the mound today for the Diamondbacks is Ian Kennedy—going for his 19th win this season, as he continues to make his bid for the NL Cy Young. Kennedy is an NL-leading 18-4, with an 8-0 record against the NL West this year.
He is also 10-1 in his last 11 starts. In those 11 starts, Kennedy has only allowed 18 earned runs. Including tonight's start, he should have four starts remaining. In order for Kennedy to win the Cy Young Award, he must remain perfect down the stretch.
If the playoffs were to start today, the team would head to Philadelphia for a showdown with the Phillies. The Phillies currently have the best record in baseball, and the young Diamondbacks would have to play their best ball in order to beat the battle-tested Phillies.
Look for the D'Backs to remain crisp during the remaining weeks of the season.
With 19 games left in the regular season, don't expect Arizona to let off the gas now.
