Nick Diaz Makes Video in Response to UFC 137 Fight Cancellation

Tim McTiernanSep 7, 2011

Nick Diaz has officially responded—kind of.

Diaz made a post on YouTube following the cancellation of the fight, titled "Looks like someone don't want me to win !"

Diaz managed to talk for a little over 2:30, while completely avoiding his reasoning for missing the three flights to Toronto and press conference in Las Vegas.

Diaz says he "was in San Francisco, last minute, trying to get on a airplane to go to a press conference for the UFC, wanted me to fight for the title against Georges St-Pierre, and now they're telling me that they're gonna give the fight to Carlos Condit, which I think is ridiculous."

He goes on to add that "Georges thinks it's a great idea, because Carlos Condit poses an even greater threat, so I guess that just leaves me out, it's funny, one second I'm about to come into some money, over in boxing, probably lose some teeth, but I'm ready to get paid... but I'll fight whoever, whatever, anything...I'd definitely rather fight GSP of course."

UFC President Dana White claimed that if Diaz doesn't show up to the press conferences, how does he know he'll show up to the fight?

Diaz responded to that also, saying "I've never not showed up to a fight, I've never backed out of a fight in my life, that's not what I do."

This is certainly an interesting situation, so stay tuned to Bleacher Report for the updates.
