The 8 Angriest Coaches in NFL History
Look, we've all been angry before. Hopefully, though, we haven't spent our entire lives being angry like the following NFL coaches.
It is understandable if coaches let their emotions get the best of them during crucial moments of the game. However, some of them take those emotions, smash them up and drink them to allow their angry outburst to last for an entire career.
Here are the eight angriest coaches in NFL history with videos to show just how angry they can get.
8. Bill Belichick
1 of 8Everyone knows what Bill Belichick is capable of doing on the football field. He would do anything to win and at times that included what the NFL considered cheating.
While competitive is a word often used to describe Belichick, you rarely hear his name associated with being an angry coach. However, when you watch him shove a cameraman just to get a hug from an opposing coach, you know this guy is boiling over with rage.
Belichick usually contains his anger, but don't be surprised if one day he goes completely crazy. When that happens, we can expect a lot more of the shoving that we see above.
7. Tom Coughlin
2 of 8Just look at Tom Coughlin laying into his punter. Come on Coughlin, the guy is just a punter, take it easy on him. He already has a hard enough time having to deal with being a punter.
Whenever you lose your cool and yell at a player for a mistake, it is time to consider anger management. Mr. Coughlin, that time has come for you.
6. Josh McDaniels
3 of 8Be warned, the video contains come graphic language.
I came up with a three-part system to test a person's anger. First, are they cussing?
Second, are they waving their hands around like crazy?
Third, are they screaming so hard that they sound like a 11 year-old girl?
Josh McDaniels scored off the charts in my system, thus he is a very angry man.
5. Dennis Green
4 of 8To say that Dennis Green lost his cool at this interview would be the understatement of the century.
Losing is never easy and it is even harder when your team is up big and ends up giving away the game. This "anger explosion", as I like to call it, basically cost Dennis Green his job with the Arizona Cardinals.
Hey Denny, are you sure the Bears are who you thought they were?
I'm sorry, that went too far, please don't hurt me.
4. Jim Mora
5 of 8If you have ever watched numerous Jim Mora interviews, which I have, you realize that he always thinks that his teams suck. There is just simply no way to please this guy.
His team could win by 60 points and he would still walk off the field and say, "We just sucked. The offense sucked. The coaching sucked. Everyone sucks."
Constantly thinking that things suck means you are angry enough to be the fourth angriest coach in NFL history.
3. Bill Parcells
6 of 8Whenever NFL Films does a short video on you titled "Sensitivity Training", it could really be them hinting to you that you need professional help.
Bill Parcells was a fantastic coach, but he was also one of the least sensitive coaches ever, which makes this video all the more humorous. Yeah, like I'm going to believe Bill Parcells was the Mr. Rodgers of the NFL.
2. Mike Ditka
7 of 8It was very difficult to put Mike Ditka second on this list because his anger is legendary. The man was always yelling, always getting angry at reporters and was never pleased with his team performance.
In fact, I once heard that after the 1985 Bears won the Super Bowl he yelled at his team for thirty minutes because he felt they played poorly.
Okay, I just made that up, but the fact that you almost believed me proves that everyone knows how angry of a coach Ditka was.
1. Bill Cowher
8 of 8Jimmy Kimmel says it better than I ever could, so just watch the video and see why Bill Cowher is the angriest coach in NFL history.
I just have two words: The Scowl.
