    Gone are the days when celebrities and athletes used to receive a trailer full of fan mail. In today's micro-blogging world, the hand-written essays have been replaced by shorter electronic messages with a maximum length of 140 words.

    In spite of the minimal length, these messages have become increasingly popular due to the sole reason that the interaction is no longer one-way.

    Twitter has taken the cyber world by storm in the last couple of years and celebrities have been using it as a good platform to communicate with their fans easily and to greater effect.
