2011 NBA Draft Results: Kyle Singler Goes No. 33 to Detroit Pistons
Kyle Singler was supposed to be one of the best players in the country during his senior season under Mike Krzyzewski, but he was largely overshadowed by the hype, production and injury of Kyrie Irving along with the emergence of Nolan Smith.
Still though, Singler managed to average 16.9 points, 1.6 assists and 6.8 rebounds per game for the Duke Blue Devils. All of those numbers though were less than the ones he put up during his stellar junior campaign.
Singler is a very cerebral player with a diverse skill set and he’s not afraid of working hard, as he showed during the combine when he took a charge during a drill.
There are questions about where this intangible-laden small forward is going to fit in, but he will find his niche in the NBA.
Detroit has enough veterans that Singler will be able to get some good playing time off the bench.
