WWE Capitol Punishment: Randy Orton Will Strike and Retain the Title!

Last night on Smackdown I finally got to see a side of Christian that could get very interesting.

Now I don't know if you watched last night's show but let me inform you that at the end of the match, Christian took the title belt and struck The Viper right in the head...damn!

With all that out of the way, let me get right to the point. Randy Orton will come for vengeance, find his mark and strike swiftly against his assailant. There will be no mercy for Captain Charisma, if you can still call him that.

After last night, not only do I predict a Triple Threat match in two weeks at Capitol Punishment but I also expect this Orton-Christian feud to last all the way to SummerSlam.

It has gotten serious now. No wait!...personal!

Yes I know, many feel like Randy's persona is boring and monotonous. I actually think he's in the best form his character can be, cold, callous and deadly. You really don't expect a psychotic character like that to smile and speak a la John Cena, do you?

I love this "tweener" Orton. You know, a guy that could easily be cheered and booed at the same time, like Stone Cold was.

He is in phenomenal shape and finally has the chance to become a mega-star on his own brand. Not only that, I believe he has stepped up his game and given us the best matches of his career lately.

He will win in two weeks. Why the hell would you take off the title from a man who gets the crowd to explode the minute his entrance theme starts playing. If you pay attention, you'll understand what I mean, this guy is way over.

My take on this is we will get the great The Viper/Capt. Charisma feud at last and see the full potential of a Christian "heel" turn when he finally regains the gold around SummerSlam.

The most hilarious part is: I really think the man who wins the Smackdown MITB briefcase will cash in and take the belt from Christian.

In doing so, Captain Charisma's full-fledged dark side would be unleashed and the "IWC" would truly have the main-eventer it desires. Heck, I might even start to like him.

Back to the pay per view in two weeks, an Orton victory will secure his hold over the title and reroute him towards Christian. Hopefully for the best part of the summer.

I like Sheamus and all but I'd rather see him in a tag team with Drew McIntyre right now. We need those guys together and I'd bet my pants right now by saying we might even have witnessed the actual start to a "face" turn after last night.

Who knows?

Make no mistake about it, Randy Orton is on top of the food chain right now and not parting with his gold just yet.

He is on fire, red-hot and impressive to watch. I get goosebumps every time. People absolutely love him!

Keep in mind, next month is Money In The Bank. Could history repeat itself as the winner of the briefcase cash in and take the title from The Viper?

How would Orton react to that? What would Christian do should the championship distance itself even further?
