Kansas City Chiefs 2011: 5 Players on the Hot Seat
Every season, there are players that don't live up to expectations for their respective team.
Heading into the '11 campaign, the Kansas City Chiefs have several players who need to step up their game, or they will have to step off the team.
From a former late-round offensive tackle, to an underachieving defensive end, KC will have to see improvement from many of these players, if they wish to keep their spots on the squad.
The following is my guide to five Chiefs that are in danger of losing their jobs in 2011.
Enjoy.
Tyson Jackson

The former first-round selection of the Chiefs has been nothing but a disappointment since he arrived in Kansas City back in 2009.
He has registered only one sack in his two seasons with KC, and has failed to provide the consistent pass rush that Kansas City was hoping to get out of him when they selected him in the '09 NFL draft.
With the recent addition of former University of Miami DE Allen Bailey, Jackson could easily lose his job this year if he doesn't start to play at a higher level very soon.
Brodie Croyle

Croyle has never lived up to expectations of being a viable NFL quarterback, and his time is beginning to run out as a Chief.
In his pro career, he is now 0-10 as a starting QB, and has continued to show the same inconsistencies that he struggled with while playing at the University of Alabama.
After the Chiefs selected former Iowa QB Ricky Stanzi in the fifth round of last month's draft, Croyle could very well lose his backup QB position if he doesn't start getting it together in '11.
Barry Richardson
3 of 5
Richardson was given the starting job last season at right tackle, where he did an average job at his position.
He struggles mightily in pass protection, and this is why many believe that the Chiefs will look to find his possible replacement in free agency.
Two-time Pro Bowl RT Jammal Brown has been a name that has been thrown around by some, and could easily be the new KC right tackle to start in '11, if Richardson doesn't improve more in the coming months.
Mike Vrabel
4 of 5
The three-time Super Bowl champion linebacker for the Chiefs is nearing the end of a long career in the NFL.
Last season, he wasn't able to register a single sack in one of his least productive seasons as an NFL starter.
In 2011, his starting outside linebacker spot could easily be lost to rookie Justin Houston, who was one of the best pass rushers in this year's rookie class.
Mike Cox
5 of 5
Cox has done a decent job at his fullback position for the Chiefs over the last three seasons.
However, he is not the big bruiser that the Chiefs offensive blocking scheme needs and is likely not the long-term answer going forward for this team.
After KC selected FB Shane Bannon with their final pick in the '11 NFL draft, many expect that Cox's days as a Chief will be over, if he can't beat out Bannon to begin the season.
