2011 French Open: 5 Americans Who Have the Best Shot at Winning the French Open

Justin WeltonMay 20, 2011

Now that Andy Roddick has been sidelined with a shoulder injury, are there any Americans that have a legitimate shot of winning the French Open? Highly unlikely.

No 5: Alex Bogomolov Jr.

Bogomolov Jr. is the 84th best player in tennis. His record this season is just 4-3.

He hasn't played a tournament on clay this season, so who knows how he will play at Roland Garros.

In the Sony Ericsson Open, Bogomolov defeated Andy Murray 6-1, 7-5 marking one of his better victories.

No 4: John Isner

There is little hope for an American to make the final, let alone win the entire thing.
