WWE Tag Team Division: What It Will Take to Make It Great Again
(Warning: this does contain a WWE Superstars Spoiler)
I am sure that I am not the only WWE fan who has noticed that the WWE is trying to re-amp the lacking Championship divisions.
The Divas division now contains Kharma and looks to be developing an amazing storyline. The World Heavyweight Championship has a new group of Superstars vying for the biggest belt. The United States Championship has a new brand and a lot of new faces to start feuds over.

But, has the Tag Team division gotten that type of reboot?
Sure, Big Show and Kane help make the WWE Unified Tag Team division competitive, but does adding a destructive force make it more compelling?
Have we really received any new reason to be excited about Tag Team wrestling?
The Rockers, The Legion of Doom, The Hart Foundation, Evolution, Demolition, The Dudley Boyz, Edge and Christian, and The Hardy Boys all invigorated Tag Team wrestling back in their days, but who is going to step up and make this Tag Team division great again?
As of right now there is one stand out Tag Team: Heath Slater and Justin Gabriel of The Corre.![]()
We need more than that.
My hopes of this article is to make some thought provoking points and to create a conversation about who we want to see in a Tag Team.
Here are the Tag Teams that are currently in the WWE:
The Corre (Heath Slater and Justin Gabriel)
Big Show and Kane (WWE Unified Tag Team Champions)
The Usos (Jimmy and Jey Uso)
The New Nexus (Any combination of CM Punk, Mason Ryan, David Otunga, and Michael McGuilicutty)
Santino Marella and Vladimir Kozlov (They haven't broken up, but they haven't been in a pairing for a while either)
Does this group of teams remind you of Tag Team divisions of old?
I think not!
(This next section contains a spoiler for Thursday's WWE Superstars)
To beef up the Tag Team roster, and with a nice little run in on WWE Superstars by Curt Hawkins, I have compiled a group of men who I think we should see form a Tag Team to help better the WWE Unified Tag Team division.
Team No. One: Zack Ryder and Curt Hawkins
Why not rejoin one of the most exciting Tag Teams in some time?
They "rocked" as the Major Brothers and were even more electrifying as Edge's lackeys as the Edge Heads.
If Curt Hawkins run in to help Long Island Iced Z get the win is any indication of what is to come, then I am getting my self psyched for a reunion. WWWYKI
Team No. Two: The Hart Dynasty Reunion?
Well, neither are doing anything really on their own. And it would be great to see Bret Hart come and guide them.
A team that was quite dominant as a Tag Team and neither is ready to go for a belt on their own, but a reformation of a great Tag Team might just be what they need to get them to that next step and heck, make them Heels this time around.
They were never believable as babyfaces.
Team No. Three: The Great Khali and The Newest Indian Superstar
This is an interesting pairing for a Tag Team, but it might help Khali become a monster again.
This new guy came out and pretty much called Khali a woman, so we'll see what interesting things can come of Khali turning back into a destructive force.![]()
So with these three teams we make a lot more competition for the Unified Tag Team Champions and it could really, and I mean really put a spark into a lot of people's careers.
We could also see the likes of Trent Barretta, Skip Sheffield, Daniel Bryan, and even Evan Bourne get involved in a tag team to move forward and possibly break the mid-card glass.
I hope that this has intrigued your intellectual side and heck, critique me or tell me what I missed.
As always remember to "like" the article, follow me on Twitter (IAMCalamity) and become my fan.
