WWE: R-Truth Should Have Turned Heel a Long Time Ago

Last night on Raw we saw the ongoing heel turn of R-Truth.  He came out during the opening segment and berated Miz, Del Rio and Mysterio for not being as good as he is.

Truth told about how he put Morrison on the shelf and how he deserves a title shot more than anyone in the ring.  Mysterio got right in his face and told him he didn't deserve a thing. The GM chimed in and said everyone but R-Truth deserved to be in the number one contenders match.

This really got Truth upset and he stormed off to the back talking to himself again.  Truth was shown again later in the evening talking to himself as he was leaving the arena.  Someone tried to interview him and he blew up at them screaming that his old gimmick is why he wasn't taken seriously.

Truth reappeared after the main event and delivered his finisher to Rey Mysterio.  Mysterio and Truth are probably going to enter a feud at this point as neither of them have a current program now that Mysterio was drafted to Raw and Morrison needs neck surgery.

Truth's heel turn has been great so far and he has shown that he has a lot to offer.  I am a much bigger fan now that he is a heel.

I can't help but think that this should have happened a long time ago instead of just recently.

For months now, people in the IWC have been saying that Truth needed a heel turn to energize his career, and they were right.  His new attitude is going to be taken more seriously and this could be the shot in the arm he needs to finally get into the main event picture.

Truth has been in the wrestling business for awhile now, and while he may not count as part of the youth movement, he is certainly someone with potential to hold one of the World Championship's.

Last night was a great way to further Truth's heel turn and keep him in the spotlight.  What do you guys think of Truth's new attitude thus far?
