NFL Draft 2011: Stefen Wisniewski Stands on the Shoulders of Giants
What a wonderful second-round pick of Stefen Wisniewski who will be coached by his uncle, Steve Wisniewski—who, by the way, many say had a mean streak.
Hue Jackson wants a team that is capable of being a "bully." The big, strong young Wisniewski from Penn State has all of the attributes of being developed into a fine Oakland Raider.
The fact that the young Wisniewski will extend a legacy only sets the bar high for the strong, talented draft pick.
His choice was approved by Jim Otto and that is a good sign for the Raiders. After all, Otto ought to know a good center when he sees one.
It's a family affair for Wisniewski to play for the Oakland Raiders. His uncle Steve played for several years.
Now Steve is an assistant coach with the Raiders and he certainly can give his nephew and others wise counsel to help get the Oakland Raiders back into the playoffs and eventually to a Super Bowl.
Another good quality about this pick is that Jim Otto has watched the young Wisniewski's career since his freshman year at Penn State.
Steve has great players watching over him, and under Hue Jackson's coaching his growth and development should be accelerated.
The legacy is in place. Wisniewski's father, uncle, Jim Otto, and his head coach Hue Jackson can nurture a fine Oakland Raider in the young Wisniewski who received many accolades during his career at Penn State.
Keep it up, Al Davis and Hue Jackson. So far, so good.
Stefen Wisniewski can stand on the shoulders of giants like Otto and his uncle. He should see farther and go farther.
Where can he go? You know the answer: to the playoffs and a Super Bowl.
