Tiger Woods Video: Watch "Woodrow" Woods Analyze Wayward Tee Shot

Michael CahillApr 9, 2011

Woodrow?

Really? Well, I guess every great needs an alter ego, and Woodrow is that alter ego.

After an errant tee shot on hole No. 11, Woods yells out “Woodrow,” as if to reprimand his alter ego for his bad play.

Wow, how vain can you be when you are so egotistical about your own ability that anything bad you do is a product of an imaginary self you have created?

This makes sense if you think about it. Woods is always surprised when people ask him if he still thinks he can be the best in the world. He gives them the same look you’d give your friend if he came over to your house and asked if he could take his pants off.

But the reason he did that was clear: Woodrow forgot to tell Tiger that he had been sucking at golf for the past 18 months.

This also explains some other things, but we’ll leave that out.

Although it does entitle him to use Woodrow for other things that happen off the course. Tiger cuts someone off in traffic? Woodrow’s fault. Tiger goes to a funeral and comments, “This funeral blows.” Woodrow’s fault. Tiger loses another Masters because he’s tinkering with his swing too much and he’s no longer intimidating to the field? Woodrow’s fault.

He’s gotta have someone to blame after all.

If am going to develop my own alter ego called Chunky. He eats too much fast food, is always complaining about his neighbors rabid dog but yet continues to yell at him through the fence and thinks it’s funny to always call everyone Rudy and complain that it’s because he doesn’t know their name, even though he does.

Ah, got to love the Alter Ego.

Plus, just like Tiger we can totally have a scapegoat for our golf game.

We’d hate to blame ourselves.
