UConn: Jeremy Lamb Has Been the Perfect Robin to Kemba Walker's Batman

People love to give Kemba Walker his due for what he has done with the young Huskies this season. He has put them on his back on several occasions down the stretch of games. He is the prototypical "Batman," but Batman can't do it alone.

Ever since the Big East Tournament, Jeremy Lamb has taken his game to another level. He averaged just 10.3 points per game throughout the course of the season. He had a stretch of games early in the year where he only scored 17 points in five games.

In the seven games leading up to the Big East Tournament, Lamb scored in double-digits once. On top of that, he wasn't the greatest outside shooter.

It was crucial for Lamb to help Walker in the Big East Tournament for them to have a shot to compete. Since the tournament, Lamb has scored in double-figures in every game they have played.

He is averaging 18 points a game in the NCAA Tournament. His field goal percentage and three-point percentage have increased significantly. He is turning into that second legitimate scoring threat that the Huskies thought he would be.

We are witnessing a player blossom right in front of our eyes. His 6'5" body fits perfectly in the NBA, so he is definitely showing scouts what he can do.

He was a late bloomer last season coming out of Norcross, HS in Georgia. His body will still need work as well as his overall game, but he has the size to be a solid pro. He is just a freshman, so the time for development is there.

He was huge late against Arizona as he made three baskets to increase the Huskies' lead. He also hit a clutch three late against San Diego State to push the lead to four points, exactly what Connecticut needed to make a deep run.

Walker has been the guy down the stretch, but Connecticut wouldn't be where they are without Lamb. He has been the perfect Robin to Walker's Batman.
