NCAA Tournament 2011: Kansas, You Are the Rams' Next Victim

Not many people wanted the VCU Rams to get an invite to the dance.  You can add one more to the list as the Florida State Seminoles fell to the Rams 72-71 in overtime.  The Seminoles made a great run themselves to make it to the Sweet 16, but the dream is all about the Rams.

As a Georgetown Hoyas fan, I take some comfort in watching VCU continue to march, it makes the Hoyas' loss to them a little easier to take.  It was unbelievable what they did to my Hoyas, but they have been equally as impressive getting to the Elite Eight.

So, will the Kansas Jayhawk fans be the next in line to fall to the team that shouldn't have been in the tournament in the first place?  Sit down for this Kansas fans, and get your bags ready to head...home.

That's right. The VCU Rams will beat the Kansas Jayhawks and set up a battle with the Butler Bulldogs in the Final Four.  You read that right.  Butler will take Florida out as well.

The Rams are on the biggest roll of anyone in the dance and they got past the "let down" game against a "lowly" No. 10 seed. 

Florida State has, in my opinion, one of the best defensive teams in the country.  The Seminole big men were playing volleyball half the night.  VCU still managed to shoot better than Texas A&M or Notre Dame could against FSU.  Notre Dame is arguably one of the best shooting teams in the country.

Kansas has a better offense than Florida State, but VCU can pressure the Jayhawks and cause problems.  The level of hustle and the "us against the world" attitude will bridge the gap enough to make this a competitive game. 

The X-factor will again be the three-point shot.  VCU has shown it is up to the task.  I think they will hit 11 treys in the game on Sunday and send Kansas packing to set up an epic battle of the the little guys in Houston.
