March Madness 2011 Update: How Are the Experts Faring So Far?
After two rounds of exhilarating play, we are down to the Sweet 16.
Some of you may have brackets that are still alive, but chances are that most are busted.
But, don't get discouraged.
The chances of a perfect bracket are one in 9,223,372,036,854,775,808 (excluding the play-in games).
Therefore, let's take a look at how our expert partners at CBS Sports have fared thus far.

Gary Parrish, Senior Writer
1 of 10
Sweet 16 Teams: 10 (Ohio State, Kentucky, Marquette, North Carolina, Duke, San Diego State, Kansas, Wisconsin, BYU, Florida)
Elite Eight Teams: Seven (Ohio State, North Carolina, Duke, San Diego State, Kansas, Wisconsin, Florida)
Final Four Teams: Ohio State, San Diego State, Kansas, Wisconsin
National Championship: Ohio State over Kansas
Analysis: Right now Parrish is in good shape compared to most of his expert brethren.
However, with most of the other picking the Bucks to win it all, Wisconsin remains the outlier.
All others don't have the Badgers in the Final Four, so if Bo Ryan pulls through, Parrish will be sitting pretty (assuming everything else falls into place).
Dennis Dodd, Senior Writer
2 of 10
Sweet 16 Teams: Six (Ohio State, North Carolina, Duke, UConn, San Diego State, Kansas)
Elite Eight Teams: Three (Ohio State, Duke, San Diego State)
Final Four Teams: Duke
National Championship: Duke over Louisville
Analysis: Comparing him to a few other experts, Dodd may out of contention for first place, but he is only one of two experts to pick Duke as the national champion.
With that said, if the Blue Devils repeat, he could at least boast about being only one of two to correctly predict the national champion.
Gregg Doyel, National Columnist
3 of 10
Sweet 16 Teams: Six (Ohio State, Kentucky, North Carolina, Duke, Arizona, Kansas)
Elite Eight Teams: Three (Ohio State, North Carolina, Duke)
Final Four Teams: Ohio State
National Championship: Ohio State over Notre Dame
Analysis: The biggest thing that hurts Doyel's bracket is that he only has one Final Four team left.
Missing on 10 of the Sweet 16 also doesn't look good, but at least the Buckeyes are.
Michael Freeman, National Columnist
4 of 10
Sweet 16 Teams: Seven (Ohio State, North Carolina, Duke, UConn, San Diego State, Kansas, Florida)
Elite Eight Teams: Five (Ohio State, Duke, UConn, Kansas, Florida)
Final Four Teams: Duke, Kansas
National Championship: Duke over Kansas
Analysis: Despite only having seven of the Sweet 16 teams, Freeman's bracket remains alive as he has Duke and Kansas in the national championship.
Also, he may have an outside shot at beating his fellow experts if the rest of what he can win is perfect.
Jeff Borzello, College Basketball Blogger
5 of 10
Sweet 16 Teams: Nine (Ohio State, Kentucky, North Carolina, Duke, San Diego State, Kansas, Wisconsin, BYU, Florida)
Elite Eight Teams: Four (Ohio State, San Diego State, Kansas, Florida)
Final Four Teams: Ohio State, Kansas
National Championship: Ohio State over Kansas
Analysis: Even though he has a respectable nine Sweet 16 teams, Borzello's bracket takes a dive thereafter.
He's one of the six experts out of the 10 to pick Ohio State to win it.
Therefore, having only two of four Final Four teams left doesn't help, as a few others have all four.
Eric Angevine, College Basketball Blogger
6 of 10
Sweet 16 Teams: Nine (Ohio State, Kentucky, North Carolina, Duke, Arizona, San Diego State, Kansas, Richmond, Wisconsin)
Elite Eight Teams: Four (Ohio State, Duke, San Diego State, Kansas)
Final Four Teams: Ohio State, Duke, Kansas
National Championship: Ohio State over Kansas
Analysis: With nine Sweet 16 teams, three Final Fours and both national championship picks remaining, Angevine has positioned himself to oust his fellow experts.
As long as Ohio State and/or Kansas don't slip up, his chances are very good.
Matt Jones, College Basketball Blogger
7 of 10
Sweet 16 Teams: Eight (Ohio State, Kentucky, North Carolina, Duke, UConn, San Diego State, Kansas, BYU)
Elite Eight Teams: Five (Ohio State, Duke, UConn, Kansas, BYU)
Final Four Teams: Ohio State, Duke, Kansas
National Championship: Ohio State over Kansas
Analysis: With Ohio State, Kansas and Duke all alive for the Final Four, not all is lost.
However, the downside is that Ohio State over Kansas in the national championship is rather common.
Chances are Jones won't outdo the other experts, but the pick of BYU into the Elite Eight could move him up.
Matt Norlander, College Basketball Blogger
8 of 10
Sweet 16 Teams: 11 (Ohio State, Kentucky, North Carolina, Duke, UConn, San Diego State, Kansas, Richmond, Wisconsin, BYU, Florida)
Elite Eight Teams: Six (Ohio State, North Carolina, San Diego State, Kansas, Wisconsin, BYU)
Final Four Teams: Ohio State, San Diego State, Kansas, BYU
National Championship: Ohio State over Kansas
Analysis: Currently, Matt Norlander leads after picking the most Sweet 16 teams.
Also, with having six of eight Elite Eight teams and all four Final Four teams alive, he could run away from the other experts.
Jerry Palm, Bracketologist
9 of 10
Sweet 16 Teams: Six (Ohio State, North Carolina, Duke, San Diego State, Kansas, Florida)
Elite Eight Teams: Four (Ohio State, San Diego State, Kansas, Florida)
Final Four Teams: Ohio State, Kansas
National Championship: Kansas over Ohio State
Analysis: The best thing Jerry Palm has running for him is his national championship game.
He's only one of two to choose Kansas, but the Jayhawks and Buckeyes are his only remaining Final Four teams.
Winning it all is out of the question, but picking the correct national championship game is always a good thing.
Peter Tiernan, Bracketologist
10 of 10
Sweet 16 Teams: Seven (Ohio State, North Carolina, Duke, San Diego State, Kansas, Wisconsin, Florida)
Elite Eight Teams: Five (Ohio State, Duke, San Diego State, Kansas, Florida)
Final Four Teams: Duke, Kansas
National Championship: Kansas over Duke
Analysis: Much like fellow expert Jerry Palm, Peter Tiernan most likely won't win it all, but can still finish strong.
He too chose the Jayhawks as national champs, but over Duke instead of OSU.
With that said, if his championship game is correct, he can surpass a few other experts along the way.
